Romero is still young for a Centre back, not long turnt 25. I think a cool mature head next to him makes sense VDV is young, Tapsoba is younger than Romero.
Me personally I would rather just go and get who who's available right now(even if it means paying a bit more) and be done and work with that, but I think the club might be thinking along those lines..... atleast I hope they are otherwise it just doesn't really make sense.

Actually, I would take him if it was on a free, his wages were modest (£30kpw) and he was home-grown. He's an impact sub, but fuck paying him top dollar to sit on a bench.
