Hopefully Levy doesn't drag this on for the sake of his ego, just get it over with this week.

What if he drags it on until next week and gets another £10 million for him or that it forces them to give up and we get to keep the player?

Just because they are meeting today (so publicly thanks to Bayern and the German media) doesn’t mean anything will be agreed today.

It was only January that we heard weekly there were a thousand and fucking one meetings for Porro that came to nothing.

Genuine question ;

When should the purchase price be included in spending.
The year of the loan, or the year of permanent transfer ?

Coming to a consensus on this is a good idea. Everyone seems to change it based on whatever narrative they want to push at any given time so if we can all agree which it is then we can at least try to have a reasoned discussion about our spending without moving goalposts

Then it delays the rest of our transfers to a week from the start of the season, and in the worst case scenario we'll keep an uncommitted player who doesn't fit the system and will leave on a free next season.

It will be no surprise if Levy thinks he can squeeze an extra 10 mill out of Bayern by making them wait until the final week of the window. Of course we hope not and for once he prioritizes his manager and the team having the time and tools to properly prepare for the new season

What? An imminent financial crisis or the super secret probation that you put them on in 2019?

BTW, the term -ologist is generally used to denote somebody with interest or expertise in a field. A Levyologist wouldn’t necessarily indicate any sympathy towards Levy. Can I suggest the term ‘Levyphile’ would convey the meaning that actually meant?
-latry would be more correct

Of to worship

Then you’d have levyaltry which sounds like lavatory which has poetic resonance

Can we get a Flightradar on this thing? Are they going to parachute out over Goff's Oak?
Can we have one of those little maps showing constant route update and time of arrival?
I spent 8 hours going to Orlando sat all night right in front of one those. For the first hour I thought it was a film and was wondering when it would start. Then I realised there never has been a film called
’ TIME TO DESTINATION’

But the Kane situation should have zero fucking implication on signing defenders or selling any players. None at all.

Agree but we are where we are. It seems we are broke and can only buy once Kane goes.

Maybe a loan with an obligation should be included immediately, and a loan with an option included in the permanent transfer year ?
🤷🤷

All sites I've looked at have the loan fee in year one, and the transfer year in year two.
Which seems to be fair as we haven't spent the money until the transfer is permanent.

I can see why others would have a different opinion though.

What if his manager wants to keep Kane for the year and let him go on a free next season.

Does Levy back Posty, or gets the money and moves on to another forward ?

I doubt he does. Apparently he's been telling the players that there's no pressure on them this season, which seems like the exact opposite of what would motivate Kane.

Plus, he clearly hates the media circus around this saga, and it'll only intensify if Kane stays, the media will try to sell him to United daily. He specifically said he wants it resolved as quickly as possible.
