Mate, even YOU, the happiest of clappers, know it’s not happening.

I haven't a clue what's happening..... DKPs tweet pretty much reflects what he & Ali G said weeks ago though..... That all outcomes are still possible.

Regardless, CBs still have my attention more than year #236 of the 'will Kane leave' saga...... I'm numb to it.

It made absolute sense when he said it, and it still rings so true today.

He’s saying essentially that we cannot continue to just look for a “good deal”, punts and opportunistic buys and expect to be competitive at the top end and win trophies.
Sometimes we have to be brave in the market and go for our top targets even if it means paying a little more.
I know mate, I was just being somewhat facetious. Hence the rest of the post digging out our current CB fiasco.

I've posted previously that I don't really care what the price is. If we've identified our primary target, then we really should be prepared to pay whatever it takes to get them. Obviously, this doesn't mean we should pay double what the player is actually worth, but if we are paying over the odds by, say, an extra 10%, then this really shouldn't be an issue. If it's slightly more than that, then structure the deal in such a way that you get a win-win.

Get the players that make a difference first, worry about the squad fillers later and try to do the "deals" with them.

He’s gone. If anything I imagine this is just a vague ‘oh maybe I’ll stay..’ play just so he doesn’t end up getting banished for the season.

He’s either going to Bayern or leaving on a free. I would bet any amount of money on that.

It’s a reasonable and fair question, minus the ‘big man’ bit.

But thanks for confirming you’ll be looking for any excuse to criticise our new GK just because we didn’t sign Raya.

Cheers for clarifying that.

Actual supporters (key word - support) should be looking at encouraging and getting behind our players, not looking for any excuse to have a pop.

But there you go!
To be fair, I don't really see too much of an issue with criticism, as long as it's fair and justified.

That criticism should really only happen though if the player doesn't show any sign of learning from his mistake(s).

If he's getting slagged off after making his first mistake, that is completely unjustified and just highlights the agenda.

Completely agree.

Why would we even want Lenglet on a free, he was part of last seasons defensive calamity. We are looking to shift out the deadwood & rebuild for the future so what’s the point of bringing in below average players?
The worrying thing is, I think we are going to end up with him. He’s a typical Levy signing
Said many times I don’t want him BUT
Statistically, we conceded significantly fewer goals when he played. Of the shit show, he was less shitty than some.

Looks like Levy would rather sell Kane, than actually run the club properly and proving to Kane that he actually means to push the club forward and reach the ambition required to consistently compete.

The sale of Kane proves Levy hasn't got what it takes to be the head of a football club.

......No-one keen on the prospect of Kane signing an extension then?
I actually saw this as wonderful news, if true that is.

Reading between the lines, Kane is essentially saying back the manager, let me see you setting him up to succeed rather than fail, and I'll commit to the contract you've put in front of me.

I get the feeling that he's impressed with the way AP is getting us to play and would like to be a part of it. He's got to be looking at the amount of chances we're creating and thinking that he could fill his boots this coming season.

All made up again. Seriously, just sell him and be done with this shit. Imagine he stays, plays shit and gets left out as Ange won’t just keep playing him if he isn’t at it. That’s a real possibility here. I can’t see him playing well in this formation. He is actually suited to a counter attacking team more now. We won’t be that this season.
I disagree.

Kane is World Class, he's suited to play in any system because he's not just an immense talent, he's extremely smart, with regards to Football.

Forgive me if I've read you wrong, but I get the impression you think he's not suited to the system because he's not the type to run around like a lunatic pressing and tackling. AP doesn't expect that of his forwards, he expects then to squeeze the space, cut down passing lanes, and be on the front foot when a mistake has been made. It's up to the midfield to win the ball back primarily, and for the forwards to then be ready to capitalise.

He's done all this already under Poch, he's not having to learn something he hasn't done successfully previously.

Reading between the lines he's saying I either want this move to Bayern or I'm staying here for the season and leaving on a free, and I'll say something to placate the fans like "Yeah if we progress I'll stay" when really its obvious I'm giving Levy an ultimatum and there's no way we progress enough to meet my ambition of Spurs winning CL/league titles.
