To me the Kessie link is the surest sign of any that Fabio Paratici is very much still running the show from behind the curtain, which fucks me off in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Do we need Jessie even if PEH goes. Use that money on the quality cb we need. Or a younger player like Scott. We also have skipp and Sarr who can play that role. No idea why we need another midfiekder when pressing need us cb.

Brennan Johnson would be so typical ENIC opportunistic signing

Paratici was/is a big fan

Fair enough mate, just hope we are still in for tapsoba

:pochcry:

Bad news regarding Edmond Tapsoba to Spurs deal

Now, Charlie Eccleshare has offered his insight on the situation on The View From The Lane podcast and unfortunately, what little information the journalist has is not all that promising when it comes to Spurs’ attempts to snare Tapsoba away from Bayer Leverkusen.

He said: “Well, the last I reported on this was on the centre-backs and it was just bad news after bad news, I felt bad putting it out and there was more stuff coming out.

“I had to add in lines about Tapsoba and whatever it is, that is also going to be really hard to do. I was off after the tour in the last week, so maybe it has accelerated, but not as far as I’m aware I’m afraid.”

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that we have been circling Tapsoba all summer and still appear to be no closer to striking a deal suggests this one could be dead in the water before it’s even begun.

Time is running out and we really cannot start the campaign without at least one new centre-back, so the club had better find an alternative to Tapsoba, and fast.

He was good in the Champo, last season in the Prem he was rubbish.

Let's imagine that Wolfsburg upped the price and we said no.

You'd be howling and shaking an angry fist. I'm not defending our overlords for a second or what passes as our transfer window strategy but you can't simultaneously whine that we're overpaying AND that we let deals escape us because we have no ambition.
I would be overjoyed if we didn’t sign Van de Ven and pushed the money on the table for Tapsoba instead.

That's nothing new, he said we were not close to either Tapsoba or VDV a few hours ago.

There could be a hundred and one reasons why Van de Ven is a more viable deal than Tapsoba, starting with the rather obvious one that the player isn't too fussed about coming or that Leverkusen want way more than the €50 million that you think is overpaying for VDV.

Or maybe it's because you touch yourself at night.

Wolfsburg just taking advantage of our dithering.
It’s not our dithering. The price didn’t change because we dithered. The price is high because they’re under no real pressure to sell and he’s been identified as one of our primary target and we clearly weren’t prepared to move on to a different option.
Same as Porro. Same as Taosoba. Selling club has the leverage. I wonder if this will probably push Tapsoba’s price up or whether BL think we might move on with CB in the bag if they truly want to sell?

Levy should have known that Munn couldn't start work before he hired him, he probably did know but just didnt give a shit, the same as he doesn't give a shit about consulting a fraudster.
Exactly! No way for too positions leaving / starting dates are not finalised before contracts are signed. Any normal bloody job you agree you’re leaving date with current employer first. Then you go to your new employer with a start date. I mean it’s bloody done every day and happens millions of times a year. Yet these boneheads on millions a year cannot work it out. Absolute joke along with the DOF search. We aren’t serious about finding one otherwise we may have listens to JNs recommendations if he had any. We are waiting for fraudster case to die down abd then bring him back. His also not suitable in football philosophy to Ange.
