Maybe but when you consider what Hojlund just went for despite him having 9 league goals maybe the market has just gone insane. I would hate to pay €50m for someone who has as much development to do as Van de Ven.
The market is crazy. Not helped by the usual suspects Chavs and Manure throwing money until shit sticks.

There is still smart moves to be had though, Maddison being one of them and Solomon, Vicario too hopefully.

dudu dudu - how are you enjoying the piedmont?

Amazing that this guy thinks there can be 12 identical anti Levy drones who are semi-literate and single issue posters but if there are 4 people who hold a different view then we must all be multis.

You are a prize cabbage. Feel free to @ me next time too.
Apparently he does not like the terrace

And likewise yourself Get in! Get in!

How's the Piedmont treating you ? :)

Ah come on he’s le grand coq le grand coq ffs.

That guy appeared for a week to agree with everything he said and then hasn’t been seen since!

So which is it, £30m or closer to £40m?

i told you

There's not a big club in Europe that hasn't paid a big fee for a few duds. It's always a risk.
But generally speaking, the smaller the fee, the more likely the dud.
And in todays market, €50m can hardly be considered a big fee for a club of our status.
We're not Brighton ffs
In general that makes sense but I guess that would be true if the same recruitment collective did it.

But our recruitment has been (broadly) so bad for so long especially when it comes to marquee signings.

I'm not sure common sense and logic applies to our recruitment.

Yeah dunno mate on the exact price, I mean everything is ridiculously inflated these days and Van de Ven is only 22 with a long contract, so I’d expect higher than his actual ability.

For me though €50m is a joke. I’d much rather or be in the €30m range or better yet €25m. I wouldn’t be outraged if it’s €34-40m which is around £30-33 m.

For what its worth Paul O'Keefe was suggesting 30 ish.
