Rooney was inferior for England to Kane.
Rooney may have helped Man United over the line far more often than Kane helped Spurs over the line.....but....
Rooney was in a dominant, Ferguson managed United, surrounded by world class players who were all used to winning.

Kane may not have helped us over the line, but in many cases, we were only at the line because of Kane. People miss that.
He scored against Wigan and Villa in finals, nothing against "bigger" clubs that he would be expected if at Spurs.

England have got to a final, a semi final and a quarter final with Kane.

Previously to this they hadn’t been further than a semi final since 1966 and hadn’t got to a semi since 1996.

They had teams including Gerrard, Rooney, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, Owen, Scholes etc in this time.

Kane has done better with England than any of them. And if he’d played for a United or a Chelsea like they did, he’d have stacked trophies.

This bitter nonsense needs to stop. It is pathetic.

Don't worry, it's just cope.

It's like when a girl leaves you and deep down you know you'll never get anyone like her again, so to make yourself feel better, you pretend she wasn't all that anyway.

Thats whats going on here. Let these poor, broken fools live in their little alternate reality where Kane is an overrated lump who has held our otherwise successful team back year after year.

You see anything in the Suarez comp that Messi offered?

Looks a busy type of bully striker in clips
Maybe attitude, he seems relentless and competetive. Stylistically not really, Suarez was an outrageous footballer with his choppy dribbling, burst of acceleration and variety of shooting techniques. This lad seems a more conventional centre forward, I quite like the Jiminez comp, he does the physicality, heading, running, target-man role with a bit of drip/flair. Will skim through a few more games later.

I don't hold with this 'give a player a few more years to develop' stuff. How often do they push on through?

At 19 we should really know enough about this kid, i'm not saying his game wont change throughout his career but I think it's rare that a 19 year old suddenly kicks on, sure it happens but reckon it's more common for them to remain at that level.

Kane was a baller and had the mental strength at 18/19 but he was lacking game time and the opportunities as he crossed-over, Defore, Pav, Crouch and Bale to name a few. That's part of the reason for his loan. To Prove the theory...

This kid is either the real deal or he's not. Look at Sess 'he needs to bulk up a bit', Same with Gil... Oliver Skipp was smashing into players at 18/19... I think it's either in you or it's not.
The "bulk up" thing was a joke, It's a cliché that bugs me.

Look at this malnourished wastrel. Arms like knitting needles. Really needs to bulk up. Best we swerve...
