Do we sell Dier, Tangana, Sanchez? And keep Davies as 4th choice?

I think Tanganga and Sanchez will leave.

I think Davies will stay as left back depth. I think Dier will stay because no one wants him and he's not clamoring to leave. But it's clear he hasn't got a place here in the starting eleven under Ange and that's good enough for me.

Watching the highlights of the game today… a fair number of Shakhtar’s opportunities came in counters where they got behind our defense.

It is totally clear we need at least one pacy CB in the game at all times.

I am surprised that Dier isn’t on his way out. Ange looks for attributes in CBs that Dier does not possess.
Dier wants to stay, his contract finishes next year.

But if we bring in three new CB’s incl Phillips, surely he thinks fuck this I’m off

I don't think Phillips will play a single minute of first team football this season.

Romero
Van de Ven
New centre back
Davies
Dier

I imagine. Dier and Davies dependent on who's needed where. But I imagine the amount of time see Davies or Dier play at centre back for the first team will be very slim and likely limited to domestic cup competitions.

Dier fifth choice for two spaces? There’s no need, I doubt he will play a single minute either

Agree re: Phillips but it’s a F U to Dier

Quite a few CB options out there.

I imagine Levy has 2 lists of players we want in - one list if Kane stays and another if Kane leaves.

Rumours of Tapsoba being closer to 60m + (as he has 3 years left on contract and club not that enthusiastic about selling) so not sure if he'd be on both lists

From where....? To be honest; I haven't seen anyone put a price on him all summer other than fans.

Rodon & Sanchez - Sold.
Dier & Davies - Remain (for reasons you noted)
Tanganga - Finally gets the loan he's needed for years.... Ange said "aggressive".... If nothing else; Japh certainly has that in his locker(*).

(*Right now I doubt Japh barely has a cash value.... Get him a half decent run on loan somwehere and if nothing else he'll be an easier sale next summer.... See CCV.)

Imagine Dier getting thrust in say late Nov after not playing a single minute all season? F that, get him out. Lumbering oaf

I don't think it'll get that far.

Romero may miss a game or two due to suspensions and the odd injury but it'd be seriously unlucky to have one of Romero and van de Ven/new centre back out at the same time to force our hand into playing Davies or Dier at centre back.

For the majority of the season, we'll be playing one game a week, other than when a League Cup fixture will fall midweek.

I have no doubts if someone came in with a reasonable offer for Dier, we'd get rid of him. He doesn't count as HG, he has one year left on his contract and he's not a first team starter. However, I don't think anyone is interested, therefore there isn't much we can do besides hope if he does get some game time, he performs.

If that’s the case, why keep him Hanging around all pissed off? Do other clubs have five senior centre backs?

Hope we don’t put players like Dier and Davies in for those LC fixtures unless it’s vs Div 2 sides

Oh this guy is hurting... Maybe having a man-child as a CEO is part of the reason Spurs has been Europes No.1 laughing stock for years?

Hazard having none of it.

"laughing stock"

OK.....
