Harry holds the strongest hand and is quite content to stick and see how it plays out. Levy is not stupid enough to show his hand by folding thereby blocking any move and alienating H even further.

If it doesn't go through Levy will apologise and maintain Bayern were not willing to stump up the (whatever it may be) asking price or go anywhere near it.

With the usual bluster and bullshit that pervades the air during these types of negotiations it often difficult to discern who is telling porkies and who isn't.
An apology isn't much good when he leaves on a free.

So its GUARANTEED that Spurs will be scoring more goals than last season, using multiple players to score. And for the most part only playing one game a week as we are not in europe, so we will be finishing a whole lot higher than 8th - probably 3rd to 5th next season, particularly if we land another top CB this summer to help reduce goals conceded. And the other teams do not worry me - Man City will probably win but I'd certainly fancy our chances of finishing above 1 or 2 from ManU, Liverpool, Woolwich and Chelsea.
I don't think it's guaranteed, at all, that we score more goals last season. We scored 70 goals last season - we hadn't done that since Poch and have only done so twice (16-17 and 17-18) in the PL era. Even allowing for the increase in matches in the pre-PL era, we've scored 70 or more 6 times in 50 years.

For the bolded last bit of the post, I infer that you're assuming we finish ahead of Newcastle. I'd say that's far from certain (though I'm not as pessimistic as some on those odds). United, Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle; pick the 2 we we have to finish above to qualify for the CL.

That's a lot to ask from a new manager that's never coached or managed in the PL, and coaching a style he's not really coached before because he's making adjustments to fit a striker winding his contract down who will be the increasing topic of conversation. Especially once January hits and he's free to begin contract negotiations with a wide array of suitors - most of whom will be direct PL competitors for said CL places and will be doing everything they can to turn his head. Both for the benefit gained in the current season, and for the chance to land him in the summer.

Even if Kane stays, it's 40/60 at best that we qualify for the CL, IMO - 60% that we don't.

If it came to it.... Would you spend £70m on Toney who will score goals but never be as prolific as Harry... Or £25m on Orban who has the potential to be as good but is not the finished article?
I'd go with Richie at the moment and if we want a player with potential why aren't we going with Scarlett? Him and Veliz are both 19. How much better is Feliz than Scarlett?

Imagine Dier getting thrust in say late Nov after not playing a single minute all season? F that, get him out. Lumbering oaf
Yes just get rid get say £1M for him and wages off the books. I’d rather time was spent developing Phillips and dorrington. Not sure why Ange has included dorrington too. In these friendly games to see how he fits in. They are the future abd look ten times better than either dier and davies in the present.

I think we agree to disagree !

It really doesn't sound like he wants someone like Lenglet.
Well that is true so why dies t he tell the club to stop pursuing lengket and make it clear to barca we are not interested. These rumours could have been squashed ages ago. The fact they haven’t makes me worrried that we will go fir lengket. Now if that is direct opposite to what Ange wants then that will be interesting. Will he say club signing😀 Or will be and what he should do is storm into levy’s office and tell the cunt that he did not want lengket or that type of defender. His made it clear the soec of cb he wants and to then get someone completely opposite and unsuitable will make for an interesting situation. Just hope Ange dies t then toe the party line and come out with BS that lengket has all the attributes he was looking for in a cb.

I'm curious. Where has it ever been confirmed Porro was made permanent?
Kulu got an announcement, but I've seem nothing official on Porro.
