No one outside of Saudi is paying Lenglet what he makes now. I think it’s even higher than it was when he signed for Barca because of their shenanigans with deferments and extensions.
A new contract, if he’s sold, will reset to a much lower salary, which is why it makes sense for him to stay out and accept a loan or a buyout.
