Yes, but putting a specific option to buy figure in the loan deal gives Leeds first dibs, and the potential to profit if Rodon suddenly has a breakout season, and his value increases.

There's no indication the Rodon deal was ever going to contain an obligation to buy.

If Rodon has a good season, there will be buyers and we can decide on the transfer fee then. Right now, Rodon's recent playing history means his value is probably rock bottom.
 
Someone get out the warchest. Now we need

- a CB
- A versatile forward that can play as a 9 and on the wing
- a CM

Then cull our bloated squad. Sanchez, Dier, Rodon, Reguilon, Ndombele, Spence, Lloris, Sessegnon, maybe Hojbjerg
 
Would have felt alot better if this got done before the Shaktar game, at least then we could comfort ourselves with "he wouldnt work in Anges system anyways".
 
suppose at least our transfer activity is gonna get interesting from here on out. Trouble is Levy bullshited around until the start of the season making these first 3/4 games even more difficult
when he inevitably gets sacked Angie needs to give him a smack

If selling an incredibly valuable player who's not planning to renew and on his last year of contract is stupid then every club in the world is sutpid.
