Two reasons: Bayern fucking hate Zahavi, calling him a "piranha" in the past, so appointing him is a big fuck you to their higher ups. Secondly, Zahavi has been working with them a lot, he knows how they operate.I'm still not quite understanding why, as per several reports, Super Agent Pini Zahavi has been conducting our negotiations with Bayern.
Zahavi will want a cut, that's his raison d'etre. But why would Levy, the self-styled master negotiator, willingly agree to chuck a few million Zahavi's way?
Speculatively, I wonder if Zahavi is involved because he will be facilitating transfers we want to complete as & when Kane agrees to sign for Bayern?
Good chance of that happening.Speculatively, I wonder if Zahavi is involved because he will be facilitating transfers we want to complete as & when Kane agrees to sign for Bayern?
Not quite . Levy has done the obvious thing. He is giving Kane the option, either go to Bayern, a big club in a shit foreign league for good fee, OR sign an extension on great wages. We cant allow him to go to a prem rival fir nothing 12 months from now.He was happy to join Bayern now (and for us to get a big fee) and happy to join another club on a free.
We’ll never know whether he could have been persuaded to sign a new contract if Ange does well because Levy wasn’t brave enough to take that chance.
We all know that Kane is not happy to be here if we are going to remain 8th. Levy obviously doesn’t think we can do much better so he’s given up and taken the pragmatic option.
Why should he? It's not like he cost us anything. It would only fuck the club if he turned it down without signing something to cover us for next summer.
He already said if the club accepts an offer he is ready to go.If it really is "his choice" now I think its worth noting he has a young family - 3 kids, and hasnt Kate got another one coming... does she want the kids in England near the rest of their family, or in Germany, away from everything theyve known up to now?
That Gooner cunt is a prick but he’s reliable
How you do force him to sign an extension if he rejects Bayern? Kane holds the cards here. Not quite . Levy has done the obvious thing. He is giving Jane the option, either go to Bayern, a big club in a shit foreign league for good fee, OR sign an extension on great wages. We cant allow him to go to a prem rival fir nothing 12 months from now.
Perhaps. Two reasons: Bayern fucking hate Zahavi, calling him a "piranha" in the past, so appointing him is a big fuck you to their higher ups. Secondly, Zahavi has been working with them a lot, he knows how they operate.
I remember the days on here when people used to celebrate Levy winning a 'transfer battle' like we'd won a trophy.
Hopefully we don't start seeing a repeat of those embarrassing shenanigans
Madrid is different IMO.I know its a joke, but this does bring up an interesting debate about what a meaningful move would be.
The same thing would apply if he went to Madrid or City.
WowWhy should he? It's not like he cost us anything.
Harry Kane owes us nothing.
