Said all along; there's a distinct difference between wanting to leave and feeling like he should leave........

Also; has he been further discouraged by their reluctance to be more decisive in their bidding and the fact it took them virtually the whole window to get real........?

........Seen that shit before from City and it left him with egg on his face.

£86m + £17m add ons.........

The last week or so of bartering don't appear to have achieved much. :avbnaa:

If Bayern won't offer more, then nothing more Spurs can do. The options are :

1 Club say they will agree fee if H wants to leave now (and may be ask H to sign a one year extension with buy out of say £80m - that gives us some cash when/if buy out is exercised

or

2) Say no, potentially upsetting H, and gives us no money in 12 months time.

No outright winners there, although (1) might be our best option (fans and club), giving H the option.

Tottenham could now reportedly turn to £22m forward Newcastle sold to replace Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur today accepted a mega-money bid from Bayern Munich for England striker Harry Kane and if the 30-year-old leaves, Spurs will need to find a replacement fast.

There’s a (very) mild panic breaking out on social media that if Harry Kane were to leave Tottenham as is now looking likely. Spurs have accepted a bid worth over £86million from Bayern Munich for the England striker and with his departure looking likely the London club could turn their attention to Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson. However, 90min have another option in mind.

Wilson certainly has a lot of attributes that would interest Tottenham, he’s quick, clever, knows where the goal is and is probably the second best English striker behind Kane himself.

Tottenham could turn to Aleksandar Mitrovic if Harry Kane leaves
Callum Wilson also has a good relationship with Tottenham’s new signing James Maddison who went to Spurs with a view to being the man who supplies Kane with the goals, so he could be suggesting that Wilson should be their target.

Fortunately, it’s not the most likely of moves given Daniel Levy’s transfer policy targeting younger players. Also, there’s very little chance Newcastle would entertain any bids for Wilson, especially so late in the window.

Tottenham are bound to have their shortlist of potential strikers written up as this Kane move has been bubbling away all summer, so it will be interesting to see who they go for.

In the meantime, Alan Shearer‘s all-time Premier League goals record gets a stay of execution, but I don’t think for one minute that Kane won’t return to the Premier League to nab that record.

Cracking research, fella...... You THAT guy! :ange-clap:

If he rejects bayern I hope theres cameras live at bayern and all have faces like a smacked arse. Tbh i think kane is off. Last 2 years hes been on autopilot and wanted out. Can only think hes torn letting us down leaving. I'd like him to stay.

I don't even think it's as simple as Kane thinking about signing on fees and a pick of clubs next summer.

I think he's probably a bit annoyed that Bayern, who said the wanted him, have waited until now to really put in a serious offer (and even then, it's still a bit low), also for the fact that he probably does respect the club and Ange and knows by leaving now, he's disrespecting them a little bit.

If Kane had just come out and said he flat out wants to leave a few weeks back. This would have got done.

We are pretty settled in midfield. Don’t think we need to bring anyone else in

TBH I'd prefer to upgrade Lo Celso who is either injured or wanting to check when next Argentia match.

In the first 2 and a half years he only completed 90 mins in 7 PL matches ....... let that sink in ..... due mainly to those 2 issues

So that leaves :

Bissouma, White, Skipp, Sarr, Maddison and hopefully a fit Bentancur.

So if Bentancur doesn't get back to pre-injury form quickly, we are very susceptible to injuries if Hojbjerg not replaced
