At the moment I feel like the fan speculation over Orban is stronger than the current media links, but I expect something (him or otherwise) to ramp up the moment Kane's departure is announced.

If we did go in for Orban then I don't see how Gent could resist it. As a Belgian league team there'll be a price point they simply can't turn down.
Well hopefully we do have a plan B as if anything happens to Son/Richie we're looking at either Scarlett or Veliz leading the line.

Those 2 - i.e. Doka & Olise - are players I'd liked Spurs to sign (yes, I know Doka's had a poor injury record lately)...but no chance if City are after them.
However, if Man C signs Paqueta they may not go after Olise.

Man City's scouting network is insane. We have Mark Lawwell who we got from Man City (son of our CE). His success rate for scouting and signing players is around 80%. He started working with Postecoglu at Yokohama Marinos and recommend him to us. Their scouting network is truly top notch

I just think 'politically' it'd be very surprising if we didn't bring in a striker of note after Kane leaves. I hope they don't get too fixated on a big name of sorts rather than exciting potential (i.e. Vlahovic would be seen to appease the fans more than Orban).

Probably because Richarlison was terrible? Doesn’t matter that he played mostly out wide, he repeatedly missed from 5 yards. He scored in 2 matches all season. One of the worst seasons for a forward in the history of Tottenham. The fee doesn’t mean anything. He isn’t good enough to replace Kane.
Finally someone said it. I’m not saying he can’t be our starting 9 this season, but long term, that is a position we must upgrade to really challenge for success at the highest level.

I made it my business to watch nearly every last bit of footage and live games I could of Vlahovic I'm telling you we don't want him.
Fair enough.

You may well be right. I liked him at Fiorentina and have watched him a few times at Juve. But they're such a dismal side to watch, it feels hard to judge him in that side.

What I would say is that he has the basic physical attributes to not be a complete washout, so even if he didn't set the league on fire, he would return solid, if unspectacular, figures.

They seem to be really good at finding not just player with the right skills but also the right attitude...

He did miss some absolute sitters and shot high and wide on numerous occasions when clean through on goal........

I hope he improves this season......but I hope he's not the name we're pinning our season on to.
