Can't see us buying a like for like replacement for Kane.

Richarlison will be given a chance and Veliz may get minutes.

AP said the other day Sonny can absolutely play as striker.

If we are to sign an attacker I think it will be a good 1vs1 winger.

Extremely sobering scouting report on Orban.

You read that as Sobering?

I read it as massively encouraging for a kid that never played academy football. He’s been taught next to nothing.

Also, the knocks on him in that article are still things Haaland hasn’t solved and he’s the best #9 itw…

Hopefully that scout report can circulate and knock the price down a bit

you think Levy is "not counting" Porro and Kulusevski?

If you ignore our two most expensive signings (60m) in transfers we’ve made money!

Let’s arbitrarily ignore players for other teams as well shall we? Without rice and havertz, Woolwich have a net spend of only €20m. No ambition!

I've addressed this before, but my logic in not including the money for Porro & Kulu in this window is:

Loaning a player to buy them at a future date is equivalent to buying a player now but not paying much up-front (small loan fee).
I'll use Woolwich buying Raya as an example- for FFP reasons they've 'loaned' him, but they will end up paying 30m for him, and they have a 30m goalkeeper now. So it makes more sense to count that 30m towards their net spend this season, rather than next summer.

LeParisien LeParisien Arguing that we should count the spend of 'loaned' players with buy clauses at the time of the loan is obviously not the the same as not counting Rice and Havertz for Woolwich's transfer window. Please try and think rationally...

Meh on Toney.

I’m bullish on Richy in this team meaning we don’t need him.

Toney isn’t a run in behind guy, he’s more of a Kane type hold up striker. Loves dropping deep.
.Have to give Richy a chance really. Last year he was unlucky, hardly used , when he was it was out of position and in a very boring system where everybody bar Kane were poor. Put him in the box on a regular basis in a very attacking formation and see what he does.

Fond of Toney's ability and what he would bring, but less keen on a homegrown-exaggerated spend for a player coming off a ban and entering his late 20s. Potentially a couple of productive years before we sell him for a significant loss.

Brentford have already shown their cards with Raya. Pass.
