Match Brentford fc vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR/ Sun 13th 14:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Son and Kulu just want to keep cutting in all the time, and keep on missing runs on the outside or to the wings. They just always play the ball inside and never down the wing and just screws us.

Don't see why there is so mach against Richy, he barely got the ball and did his job. Him holding the line was one of the reason Brentford sat back 2nd half, he pinned them there.

This was one of the game we needed GLC, more creative than Skipp and we needed passes to Richy.

We re
I feel like we have no threat in the final third. Keeper is looking very shaky as well and oppo fans are picking up on it.
We really didn’t create too many great chances. That front 3 is wank. How kulu played the whole 90 is beyond me. Could just tried gio there instead. Also Ange doesnt try to vary the tactics. We were to narrow, wingers never beat a man playing on the wrong side, passing too slow and just put in a number of hopeful balls in to the box. We hardly played a ball over the top prbly bcos we have no pace. We defo need a CB and a pacy skilful forward otherwise we are gonna struggle. We couldn’t break down a team that plays like Brentford even with on paper we had son kulu rich and madd. Need to get porro in for his pace , make some tweaks like play the wingers on their string get foot side. We may be able to cross the ball quicker.

I'm disappointed with the result because the attack let us down. Dominant second half but without kane we really do lack goal threat from the forward players.

Interesting.

Long time since we’ve been able to say that.

Even allowing for the opposition, that was one of the most impressive midfield performances- by Bissouma- especially with the ball that I’ve seen in a spurs shirt for a long while.

He can struggle a bit recovering on counters, and he looked like he took a breather from about 75-85 mins, but mighty impressive otherwise.

It was a decent opening effort. We got rattled under pressure a few times but overall you can definitely see there is a sound structure there with some promising players. Bissouma and Udogie looking especially good. But the goalkeeper is gonna be an issue, and the forward line is not going to work like this.

I could for sure watch a lot more of this team, they are much easier on the eyes than recent times. But I'm also not one to get attached instantly to the new names and faces, so that's gonna take a while, especially with a certain familiar face not being here anymore. And we still need to do some work in the market before it closes.

Some positives, some negatives. Richarlison, Son, Kulu the main negatives. Bissouma, Maddison, Udogie the main positives.

Not sure about Vicario, doesn't instill confidence yet but that might come. VDV some good and bad bits as expected.

All in all a fair result. We scored a worldie/set piece and they scored a penalty & deflection. Neither team created really clear, obvious open play chances. I think Brentford without Toney & Raya could struggle a lot more this season, that keeper was dog shit.
This is the worry.

I said it in another thread but without Kane our squad's level is similar to the Villa's/Newcastle/Brentford's of the league.

We are banking on Ange's brand of football to get us a few places higher. Top 4 would be a miracle imo.
