Match Brentford fc vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR/ Sun 13th 14:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

They got extremely lucky with their goals though.

Draw fair. Wouldn't begrudge us a win. Don't think they did enough to deserve the win.

They did, but ours were an Emerson Royal worldie and a header from a set piece.

Neither team were creating clear cut, good chances from open play. Both sides had periods where they dominated.

Was a genuinely very enjoyable, close game where a draw made a lot of sense.

Yeah I see what you're saying but we deserved the win more.

Once our nerves settled we dominated without creating too much.

Good point. I hope Ange can show some tactical flexibility. Today he didn’t just did like for like and didn’t try anything different. Like I said try kulu on the left maybe? Son down the middle. Put Gio on instead of kulu or rich. Try Solomon instead of kulu. Yet he just went like for like almost like cunte. We could have won that gane with a bit more nous as we didn’t have the pace to beat them but he didn’t really do anything. Could have tried porro as well. Bit disappointed tbh in himfir not being braver. Brentford let us have the ball we did next to nothing with it in the 2nd half.
Yes I prefer that as the wingers really arnt playing like wingers. Play Sarr for skip gio for kulu behind front two. Then you can play porro at rb so we have pace on both sides. Sarr is athletic enough to cover the right unlike skipp. Who seems to think since his an 8 he doesn’t need to get back. Compare him with madd who’s also playing as an 8. He gets around the pitch much more.
Ange - if you're reading this give Maureen a call cause you clearly haven't grasped this coaching malarkey. Why, I wonder, did we bother recruiting a new manager when we have a far more insightful one on this very site!

Ok Ange can you just talk me through

Keeping Skipp on instead of Lo-Celso when we were camped in their half.
Keeping Kulu on instead of either Porro or Soloman.
Not getting Perisic on Sooner?

A good start but see to my three points above. Dont turn into stubborn arsehole like the last two managers we had please.

Decent start overall I would say, especially considering the chaos of midweek.
Ange has clearly put a lot of work into the way we’re set up and our counter pressing is etc.

Some key points:
Positives:
- Bissouma was outstanding. If he can keep this form for the season he Will be an absolutely massive player for us.
- Udogie looks a serious player.
- VDV is green but you can see there’s serious potential there. Real shades of Jan in him at times, just less polished…
- Maddison was really good.

Negatives:
- I’d be very nervous of Vicario. Some really really shaky moments. He’s almost a like for like replacement for Lloris, and that is not a good thing.
- Having Sanchez as our first choice back up CB still is a disgrace.
- Emerson is not good enough to play that inverted CM role. Great strike for the goals though.
- Richarlison is not good enough to be our first choice striker. No ifs, buts or maybes. We need a new striker in addition to Orban if we get him.

So just another half a dozen signings to make over the next two weeks....
