Personally, I thought it was more important to get the LCB sorted with a left footed option over someone who can spot Romero. Posted this preference several times and, early days, feel a little vindicated.

Not just 'cos some of us have already suggested it a few pages back, but this ABSOLUTELY has to be his song!Hey micky your so fine ....your so fine , you blow my mind ....hey micky .....
I thought he was unlucky for the goal. Someone commented in the match thread that if he gets a tiny bit more on it, it’s a clearance. If he misses it completely, Vic saves it.Looked solid besides the 2nd goal which was a big mistake. But it’s one that he can learn from.
Agreed. Not to mention the timing was weird b/c the initial cut-back/pass was deflected AND the shot was kinda scuffed.I thought he was unlucky for the goal. Someone commented in the match thread that if he gets a tiny bit more on it, it’s a clearance. If he misses it completely, Vic saves it.
It was neither one nor the other. Finest of margins I thought.
I did rewatch it. I firmly agree with whoever made the comment in the match thread (sorry for not tagging them but I can’t remember which page it was on) which I mentioned. If he gets a better connection on the ball, it’s a great clearance. If he misses it completely then I reckon the goalie has it covered. It just about deflected enough to beat the keeperAgreed. At least that was my initial impression, haven't rewatched yet.
Agreed, there were a couple of times that his pace got him across to cover - each time I thought “Dier would have been nowhere near, that was a goal last season”He's going to be a great help to Vicario on counterattacks. There was a play right around 30 minutes in that really wasn't commented on in the broadcast but if he doesn't make it might have been a Brentford goal. His pace and ability to get back is really good. He'll clean up a lot of plays on loss of possession.
Yes. But more worrying was the fact that every Bees player in the box seemed to be unmarked. Not the end of the world but something to improve on for him and the rest.I thought he was unlucky for the goal.
