I'm sure their supporters are responding very reasonably

Paqueta had a very good 3 months after a poor 6. Expensive but a decent buy.City have lost Mahrez, Gundogan and for 4 months De Bruyne.
They look blunt and will not win the league or CL as they are now and without reinforcements.
It's an open PL but of course we won't be in that mix.

They’ll still put up 85-90 points.City have lost Mahrez, Gundogan and for 4 months De Bruyne.

Am I correct in saying that if a player is sold by their club the wages that they are owed for the remainder of the contract are paid for by the selling club?I really want to see a Swiss ramble type forensic look at how Chelsea are spending all this money on fees and wages within the ffp accounting phase (amortisation is obviously one trick) and what the long term ramifications are in terms of finances and ffp going forward.
This level of spending and number of players in a short space of time is unprecedented, never seen anything like it.
You are not right, normally wages stop. Maguire transfer didn't happen because he was trying to get his wages for the rest of his contractAm I correct in saying that if a player is sold by their club the wages that they are owed for the remainder of the contract are paid for by the selling club?
Does he need a fluffer?Apologies if it has already been discussed but just heard about Neymar's contract in Saudi...
£130m/year
$500k for each social media post promoting Saudi
Unlimited use of private jet
29 room house and full staff
Every bill paid for things bought in Saudi (restaurants, hotels, etc).
Fleet of luxury cars
Takes the piss, even by Saudi standards.
According to stats, this guy is worse in every metric than Hojbjerg, and he's out 6th choice MF at the moment.
Unless Klopp has something up his sleeve and can work some wizardry, this looks an extremely uninspiring signing.

New contract length, wanting to play because of a tournament - loads comes into it. Maguire demanding 7m is rather unusual. If the buying club aren't matching or bettering them, then yes.
So if in three years these Chelsea signings aren’t playing or out of favour are Chelsea on the hook for the remainder of these contracts. That’s a potential massive lossIf the buying club aren't matching or bettering them, then yes.
