It’s not really a surprise. He was never going to be second choice somewhere. It’s probably why he was back training with the group on Thursday.

I’m assuming Hugo would have to take a big pay cut at Lazio too.

He and his agent having a mare after announcing he wants a new challenge.

Hugo's well within his rights to want to go somewhere he can start, but what the fuck are we just finding out about this now for?

How is Hugo's willingness to make the move not assessment #1 in any discussion with any club?

We won't have a significant part to play in this one...... At this stage it's just Hugo's agent shopping him about.....

Duck walks into a bar and asks "Got any bread?"

Barman says: "No."

Duck says: "Got any bread?"

Barman says: "No."

Duck says: "Got any bread?"

Barman says: "No, we have no bread."

Duck says: "Got any bread?"

Barman says: "No, we haven't got any fucking bread."

Duck says: "Got any bread?"

Barman says: "No, are you deaf?! We haven't got any fucking bread, ask me again and I'll nail your fucking beak to the bar you irritating bastard of a bird!"

Duck says: "Got any nails?"

Barman says: "No"

Duck says: "Got any bread?
Is this cryptic ITK? Is Pato still playing?

Lloris is on full banter mode. It's almost as if he's not aware how old he is in addition to how awful he's been in the last few years.

I think there is an awareness issue too.... Think back to the statement he made back in June.... It sounded distinctly like he thought he was leaving us behind; rather than us being ready to move on from him.

His gen of keeper will all have Buffon as their inspiration/icon and he probably thinks he can hack it at the top level until 40 y/o too.

Could not agree more tommyboyspurs terrible window..How can Bournemouth spend more and we have Kane money. The problem is we cant offload the rubbish who are happy stealing a living that they won’t get elsewhere

The longer this window goes, the luckier I feel that we signed Maddison so early in the window for just 40m. After the Mount, Tonali, Lavia, Rice, Havertz, Pacqueta (attempted deal), Caicedo, and Szoboslai deals, it's obvious that Maddison is at least a 60m player even with his expiring contract and Leicester's relegation. City would be all over him, if he had still been on the market in August.

Also, we probably should've taken further advantage of Leicester willingness to do early business and grabbed Barnes for the 38m that Newcastle paid.

Seriously what were they thinking accepting 40 million. They could have got so much more

You’re point on selling all them players at the end of Pochettino’s second season may seem valid on first glance, however, a couple of things…

1) wasn’t it highly reported that window that it was Franco Baldini that was tasked with trimming the squad, an excellent negotiator and a man that was very highly respected throughout the football world?

2) many of the players you listed there were players we had recently signed that, rightly, needed another chance before being sold. The players we are trying to ship out this year are players that have been stinking the place out for almost 10(!) years in some cases and have failed under 4/5 managers.

They are completely and utterly different scenarios and it is not an excuse that stands up to scrutiny.

Fair points, and whilst I agree that the scenarios are different I still believe we will sell the players ange doesn't want either in this window or by next summer if we are, in fact embarking on a similar kind of project to the one with Poch.

I’m guessing Hugo thought he would get a first team spot somewhere in France and chill.

At least there is a game tomorrow, these next next two weeks are going to be brutally slow transfer wise and the come the last day of the window we will be linked to every fucker going and end up with Odemwingie in our car park

The incomings arent going to be great though are they?

No team sells their best players at this point in the window because they cant get adequate replacements in time. It's the "we tried" time of the window once again. We've seen it for decades

I'll reserve my judgement on what any new player will be until I see them play for us.

People were walking themselves silly when we bought Ndombele and thought Alderweirld was gonna be bang average.
