If they are injured or go to Afcon, same result, they can't play in the matches.

The issue with Afcon in the middle of PL season is its a reason (in addition to injuries) for players not to be available to play. And just as we saw some players were affected by World Cup and did not perform as well after the World Cup, and WC may have contributed to several injuries as the National Team medics were playing injured players (eg Richarlison injured in a warm up pre match but still played in the match ....... coming back to Spurs injured, and I rather think Bentancur's injury may well have been caused by WC).
 
Ndombele just wants to sit on his arse, Dier apparently happy not to play and leave in a year. I mean fuck sake what kind of mentality of players have we been buying.

Maybe they can become Chick Kings biggest customers and keep their business in good stead.

They will not miss 8 games. Maybe 8 between them, but max 4. For them to miss 8 AFCON would have to be going on for 2 months!

We have Skipp, Lo Celso, Maddison, Bentancur (who should be fit by then), Hojbjerg, Devine and if Ndombele or Hojbjerg get sold you would assume one more. Midfield is an area we might be ok for. It’s not ideal but we should be able to manage.

I think Devine, Ndombele and Hojbjerg will all be gone by the end of this window personally.

But central midfield is something we can quite happily revisit if we are sceptics about Bentancurs ability post injury and lack depth.

If all 3 are gone we will have 1-2 come in. We just need not be unlucky with injury.
