We both know that Levy likes to haggle every deal down to the small details, this has been proven and it's often what deters clubs from doing business with us, this is why we need a DOF.

Time and time again this happens, but using an example, we know that he isn't going to want to sell someone like Ndombele for under £10M (even though I think he's worth far less than that) he won't because we overpaid for him and Levy doesn't want to take a loss.

The club having a positive start to the season doesn't negate the fact that we are one of the very few clubs who seem to struggle to move on players, you cited United as not moving on players yet they have sold 9 already.

If we can't sell these players and move them on then they need to be loaned at the very least, if not then take the loss and tear the contracts up because having negative influences around the club sulking is far worse than the financial hit imo.

Everyone has to be behind Ange.

The only value I've seen for our outgoing players is Sanchez for around £12m which is fair wouldn't you say?

Apart from Ndombele which values have you seen in particular don't you agree with? The issue with Ndombele isn't even the fee anyway it's his wages and we've seen reports conforming that.

So what other values have you seen that you don't agree with?

Edit - Utd have moved players on for joke fees, their fans constantly mock their own club for being cucks in the transfer market - Fred for £8m to Fenerbache for example

Would Richarlison take a penalty for us?

Feels like a disaster waiting to happen. But he also desperately needs a goal. Tough call.

Kane's reliability from the spot was a really extraordinary weapon. At least for Spurs... :llorishowudoin:

Unfortunately we don’t have a proper penalty taker. Maybe Son? Certainly nobody as reliable as Harry. Every time he stepped up, you just knew he would score. Richarlison doesn’t ooze me with confidence whatsoever so no, not for me.

I guess Kane isn't a good penalty taker either, if we're going on penalties missed for their national teams, because I seem to recall him missing a pretty high profile one.
It's not just that he missed, that was a fucking awful penalty. The dumb as fuck run up followed by ballooning it in to row z despite not even hitting it that hard.

Just embarrassing

Any of the suppositions that you just made in your last few posts....... What's good for the goose etc......

As per prev. poster:

Let's hear it..... Then let's see some quote/links.
I never stated I had issues with any particular values though? I said I think he wants too much money for our deadwood and that's why we struggle to move them on, I also stated it was my opinion, not a fact. My opinion is based on how we have dealt with transfers over the last 20+ years.

I stated my opinion on how I think Levy does business and how it prevents us from selling (and buying) players whilst the entire time stating it was my opinion.

The poster I asked for quotes from stated players had come out and said things proving my opinion wrong, hence why I asked for quotes.

I don't think I need to provide quotes for what is a general opinion do I?

I think the evidence over the last 20+ years of how we operate in the market is proof enough that Levy can be a huge stumbling block when it comes to transfers (and at times can also be an asset.)

I think in this instance if he can't get buyers then the players should be loaned if they can't be loaned then he needs to take the financial hit and end their contracts.

The worst scenario and one that is unacceptable is going into the new season paying wages for players who won't get games and who are going to be a negative influence.

Not sure he’s ready mate. Big risk relying on Scarlett if Richarlison gets injured. Just screams of cheapo Levy failing to acquire a Harry replacement. We need to sign a forward it’s as simple as that.
I'm not disagreeing, but there's a risk even if we do sign a striker.

Part of me wants to see Scarlett given a go and hit his straps. I'd also like to see Orban brought in, as I think he's got the skillset, raw as it may be.

I'm not as down on Richarlison as many on here though. I don't really count last season, what with him being in and out of the side through injury, and not getting a decent run at the CF role because of Kane, so I really look at this season as being his "start" for us. New manager, new system, new role. He works his socks off and, IMO, his timing is off, but I think it'll come. All he really needs is a couple of goals to get up and running, get his confidence going and I do believe he'll weigh in.

He won't bring Kane numbers, but short of Haaland and Salah, who else would?

I would say £12M for Sanchez is about right, yes, I would agree in that instance.

I don't have a particular fee for Ndombele but my point is that, I think he is worth less than £10M but I don't believe Levy is going to sell a player he paid £50M+ for at that price point, that's my opinion.

If the stumbling block is wages then I would simply cut him loose so we can free up the wage space.

Honestly, the truth is, I would rather us move our deadwood on for shit money than be stuck with an overloaded squad collecting big wages and having a possible negative influence on the manager and team.

It's not like we have to sell to buy, we have just got £100M from selling Kane that has yet to be reinvested.
