This would be a real “trust the process” signing for me. I don’t see what he offers, but generally our recrutment has been good the last couple of years, be that Paratici or Gabbadini, and I trust Ange’s vision of the team he’s building.

One thing is Johnson seems to want to come here. He’s looks to have a good head on his shoulders and has got his dad to guide him through the industry, so hopefully London temptations won’t be an issue.

I don't think they plan the squad 1 window at a time. I'd guess they look at building the squad a few windows ahead and with Europe in mind.

They seem to have a boner for Johnson but just can't get my head around it.

Go balls out for Eze next summer instead.

We'll have the gametime to keep both him AND Jimmy Mad happy by then.

Still hoping for Tosin this summer too.

dont want toney, huge attitude problems and sounds like a cunt too

Fans were saying that about Romero and Maddison. The gambling aspect though is a risk.

Problem is Toney is close to elite as a striker, unless we have Osimhen coming there are few better. He can do the whole game, score, hold up, run in behind, press. About as rounded a striker you will see in the league.

No chance am I going to judge Brennan Johnson on what he does at Forest. They don't play football like us, they aren't coached like we are coached and they haven't got good footballers around their squad like we do that can propel players upwards.

I think the money is a lot of money for him but he's only 22 years old and has got double digits in goals/assists in all of his 3 years as a professional footballer playing first team football. There's obviously something there and if Ange wants/approves him, I am willing to believe his judgement based on all the decisions he's made so far as a Spurs player.

He'll get my full support once he puts that shirt on.
