Don't agree that Skipp would actually be better than Højbjerg at anything, but I do agree that we could do with another 6 in the case Højbjerg got sold. Preferably someone who resembles Bissouma. Manu Kone at Gladbach has got some of the same traits and could also play as an 8 at times. Probably cost a bit, maybe something like €50m

It's important every season. If you don't have 8 decent quality over-21 HG players you're diluting the quality of the squad.
At the moment, who are the quality HG over 21 players in our squad?
Maddison, Davies, Skipp...
Forster is fine as a backup keeper. Then we're down to Sessegnon, Tanganga, White and Whiteman to fill in a 25 man squad.
We definitely need to find quality HG additions.

Eh, I would say not even being in the 18 under these circumstances qualifies as news. Same for Hugo.
It's not urgent enough to prompt us to buy a player for £50m where we otherwise would't.

No, but it's urgent enough to add it to the things we're looking for when profiling new additions. IE If we like two players similarly and one is HG it's defo a factor to consider. Yeah, we can find someone cheaper abroad, but we can only have 17 of those players.
