Sure, but if you remember back to those games our table position was absolutely fraudulent. We got away with an awful lot of points that we had not earned.

I've been digging for years. In Africa we didn't get much news during the years of Jol and Ramos. Internet was nowhere to be found. We used to sit and listen to games via AM and MW, only getting to watch when the one channel showing PL matches, occasionally showed Spurs against the "The then Big Teams".
It was the Story of Gary Mabutt and his struggles that Sold Spurs to me. Despite being diabetic he was one of The Hardest working and committed plays ever to grace the game.
The new "Dislike Youngsters" have no clue what Football is really like. They drool at the thought of the Almighty Stadium and are in Awe of The mighty Beyonce. They are Fans. They don't understand being a Supporter. To them its just a Game, to us it is War.

Anybody with eyes could have told you that we were never going to get through a whole season riding our luck like we did for that first couple of months. And we didn't. We finished 8th which was about what we deserved.
