IF true I'd conclude the deal with Fulham and go for Conor G. (IF Chelkis are ready to do a deal, that is).

I would do the deal and piss myself laughing until the Jan window opens

Sounds perfect for an Ange team tbh.
Is he worse than Lloyd Kelly ?
Could he do us a turn as cover for VDV /Udodgie?
Snorting coffee beans cut up with a bit of speed.Fab Romano and the likes of Hercules are probably on Amphetamine a day like this!

Buying players from Brighton gets less and less appealing with each expensive flop that leaves and each cheap replacement they have lined up that shines straight away.
I think it was more a case of who we missed out to rather than the player himself, tbf.Not really a hard prediction to make, people here had a meltdown over missing out on a loan for a crocked Barca youngster.
That's what I meant. A loan first.Straight from Brighton perhaps.
But a player with dented confidence and a bad stink is never smart business tbh. Unless it was a loan with potential buy fee.
Which is completely ridiculous, loan players don't care about the status of the club they're going to, they care about getting a lot of minutes in a suitable role.I think it was more a case of who we missed out to rather than the player himself, tbf.
Their new owner has just spent 1bn trying to make them good again. Ours doesn't want to spend £1.All that means is that the players are good but Chelsea are shite.
By most accounts it seems not that we 'missed out' but that we considered it but decided not to take it forward. Obviously none of us will ever know for certain, but that was what most of the reporting seemed to be saying yesterday.I think it was more a case of who we missed out to rather than the player himself, tbf.

Massively agree. My frustration is we didn’t do this with players like Olise from the championship but 100% agree. Lot to be said for the culture of the club and energy etc, these two will helpEven though I think there's better out there than Johnson and Gallagher, there's something to be said for all our good sides of recent times having a young, hungry British spine to them. Whether it was Harry's side with Bale, Lennon, Walker or Poch's with Kane, Dele, Walker, Rose.
If we've got Maddison, Johnson, Gallagher and can develop a couple of the promising academy lads like Dorrington, Donley, Devine, Scarlett, Phillips, then we could be well set. Having a solid British core could become more significant too as the Saudi league throws more money at the best imported players.
