Forest - "Ok, Mr Levy you're just 0.3m below the fee we are willing to accept, are you willing to meet our demands?"

Levy - "Yes I am. But first I need to take the wife to Harrods on a shopping spree, feed the ducks at my local park, sort out my car insurance, have some dinner, play a game of monopoly, followed by an hour long dump, and then...I should be ready to proceed with the deal from around 11pm this evening. Toodaloo!"

You joke, but that is literally what Conte’s best mate Hotspur88 has just come up with. Lots of likes, thanks and £20 donations based on his incredible insight:

Been here too many times so not worth getting your hopes up but club still very optimistic it can get the deals done. Johnson I would say is actually very likely, club has been in advanced talks for some time now. Gallagher isn't out of the question although it's a difficult deal to do. Plenty of interest in PEH. CB again isn't out of the question depending on outgoings. Let's wait and see, we've left ourselves an awful lot to do on the last day. Lots of players being offered around as well so you can pretty much expect anything. Hopefully no more Danjuma like surprises but it wouldn't surprise me with Daniel. Enjoy the day, I know we are all frustrated with how it currently looks but let's judge when the window closes rather than clogging up this thread with moaning all day like has happened previously.
Should have just gone with the classic "Yellow and blue 🤔", could have doubled his revenue stream.

Gotta register any new signings by 12 noon to play tomorrow.

So no new players playing tomorrow.
Not entirely sure how we can sign anyone by midnight (14 hours) when our medicals tend to take 48 hours.

You forgot to add - and then come back £1.3m below the asking price

Sanchez is woeful. He isn’t appropriate cover for Romero who suffers with some injuries and discipline problems.

Sanchez starting 10 games for us this season would be incredibly risky.

Where has this “Sanchez is OK cover” narrative come from? He’s been behind Dier in most managers pecking order for years. He’s a terrible passer, flappy to say the least under any pressure and his top qualities (recovery pace and last ditch tackles) are only necessary because he’s a poor reader of the game.

We simply cannot go into the season with him as 3rd choice CB.

That Barca friendly has really gone to people’s head.

The system. He can play high line, I’d rather he be 4th choice but any defender we have now needs pace, it’s how we play and Sanchez has that. If we get say Tosin and keep Sanchez as 4th choice it’s not perfect but we have some cover. As for Dier he is simply too slow to play high line, Ange would rather play Davies our left back in place of him. Dier if he stays will be lucky to even see the bench.
