Yep we needed another centreback but by God we needed a replacement for Kane, not Johnson but a STRIKER.
My view is not getting Gallagher in some stupid 11th hour inflated deal signficantly increases our chances of getting Eze next summer.

Richalrison and Son will be our CF’s with Veliz as backup. Sadly we were always going to downgrade on Kane. Not much that can be done on that.
If Bentancur is a month away from a come back the Gallagher thing never made much sense.
Bentancur will be integrated in the squad in November. Gallagher would make sense if we sold Hojbjerg, cause that would leave us with Skipp and Lo Celso as our only backup CMs for months.
I went off line until this morning so didn't read that post but they did have a choice about "luring" Højbjerg in to believing about his dream move for so long and getting his head twisted...

There is no replacement for Kane. We are playing a different style that doesn't require a Kane. Clearly the intent is to not need to be bailed out by a single player.
