Can't wait for this upcoming international break tbh, it's always so fun.....

I don't think the process is a standardised nor linear thing......

Clubs will make it known that players are available, other times it's agents driving things..... Sometimes clubs will approach agents (seeking confirmation and a pre-contract agreement or terms); other times they approach the club and seek permission to talk to the players.

Just one example....

The PEH > Madrid story becomes public knowledge..... Fulham could have easily approached us saying "I see you're interested in selling PEH.... We're prepared to match your price" leaving us saying "sure; speak to the player; if they agree we've got a deal.".
Yes, I agree with you on this.
And, of course, I/we don't know if Fulham indeed did bid for him. But IF they did I doubt they'll send an official bid without having any idea whether Højbjerg would join them or not. There must have been some indications that he was willing to leave Spurs for Fulham - particularly when his mind was set on leaving Spurs (albeit that was for Atleti - who screwed him & his agents over).

I missed this - how did Athleti screw over PEH? Thanks for filling me in.

I would currently be sitting Dier, Ndombele and probably GLC down and trying to convince them to either sign on loan or permanently where the window is still open.
If they refuse, Dier and Ndombele need to be sin binned. No spot in the 25, train away from the group. No more pussyfooting around.
Lloris, I don't mind the idea of paying him off. He's earned that. Perhaps we can negotiate it down from the £5m or so.
GLC, possibly in the 25, but he will be limited as he really is not good enough at all.

Do you lads see the quote about there's a picture in my head, but see the obvious and there are lots of good footballers at this club. This is why Ange is the man and Conte was Cunty. Its why I will not let Conte off Spence, however his career turns out. You don't live in some idealised world where you're handed all you need. I will always belive that a good committed flexible adult would have got us top six last season. By using what was available and being self-aware.
