1. Fine for both to go and Phillips to play if needed.

2. That last line about Ange sanctioned them to go is PR.

What was the difference between the money we get for Davinson now and what was reportedly rejected earlier in the summer when we could have got a replacement?

lol you and your conspiracies, you're too Conte'd in your thinking.

Do you really think this was done over Ange's head? Do you really think they'd sell Sanchez against his blessing, really?

will be interesting to see if Dier is on the bench against Sheffield United.

Oh My God Wow GIF by reactionseditor

Tosin was clearly the preferred choice for our 3rd CB role, but he didn't want to sit on the bench.

Bournemouth didn't want to sell Kelly.

Ange was initially ok with playing out the year with Davinson as backup, but Phillips must be impressing him lots.

€4-5m in possible addons in exchange for being able to get a replacement..,

Looks a bit of a blunder

I don't think the financials are particularly significant. The blunder was no new CB3..... Which appears like it happened irrespective of Dav & Dier (see us pulling out of the Lloyd deal, Tosin opting for Fulham's bench etc.)

Schuurs was pretty heavily reported as well.

Think it’s also a good opportunity for Ange to show his ruthless side.

All nice and happy for most in the squad but make sure you are ready to do what the team needs or you are gone

Meh it’s a realistic fee. Not like that stupid €50 mill option for Lyon 2 seasons ago.

It's not realistic next summer as no team is gonna pay it when they know they can get him on a loan again and then for free in summer '25.

Gotta be honest though.... I don't care at this point........ I'm glad he's not around to infect anyone else. I just hope lessons are learned with regards to due diligence in terms of attitude etc.
