The manager we have been crying out for since forever.

I don't know how the hell he's done it but this is a TEAM again
Not a collection of players
They are all in it for each other and him, it's incredible
Everything he says, everything the players say, how they act, it's like night and fucking day compared to last year
Even if we don't win fuck all its just so much more satisfying
It’s going to get so much better.

I’m telling you - Ange is going for the league.

Today was your galvanising ‘WE WONT BE BEATEN’ moment.

This is when it’s really going to kick off 🤘🤘🤘

Weird, I was told that we weren't allowed to hype him up because we'd be getting ahead of ourselves and basically put too much pressure on him if we did.

Turns out he doesn't fucking care if we do that.
God there are enough spurs fans that could do with letting themselves go and get excited. What’s the point in the suffering if you dont let yourself relish the excitement in the moment. Isn’t football about dreaming and taking yourself out of the everyday humdrum? That’s why I pay for my season ticket! After the last few years I’m fully looking forward to us winning the league!

Plus we have some personalities on show. Tbh I found it hard to really care about any of them when Conte and Mourinho sucked the life out of them but now I actually like players on the team again!

Although I love Ange's post match pressers, but am a little concerned that he seems to be troubled with a persistent cough. Hopefully it's nothing more than a dryness in the throat from shouting through a game.
I recommend honey and lemon :)

?? luckily he chucked the man he should of been starting as ST against these shit houses and he sorted it all out in 20 mins.

postecoglou has got it massively wrong today thers nothing funny about that.

your post would make sense if son actually won us the game...weirdo
Richy is in a bad place mentally. Both personally from what he has said, plus it's been clear for a long time that he is severely lacking confidence in his game.

Start him today against a fresh Sheffield Utd packed defense and there's every chance that it doesn't work for him (like it didn't for any of our players), he gets down on himself and ends up getting hauled off in an even worse place.

Instead, he came on a stage of the match where we were building constant pressure and they were dead on their feet. The perfect scenario for him to make an impact, which he duly did.

So don't you worry about it mate, Ange has got this. He's had extensive experience playing against packed defences. He did it week in week out at Celtic. He's not going to get every decision right of course, but we're in good hands.

I wonder if in his quiet moments after a game like this, whether Ange’s mind turns to his father and wishes he was here to share it all with him. The father who took him to a country that gave zero fucks about ‘football’ and still instilled the love for the game in him, who woke him up in the middle of the night to listen to European games on the radio. It obviously pains him.

When people say a story is worthy of a Hollywood movie it's usually hyperbole, yet in Ange's case...

Started in a footballing backwater, meets wife through football, career almost over practically before it started due to car crash interview, finally gets a chance and not only dominates League but changes the way football is played in Australia. Wins Aussie national team first major trophy. Goes to Japan, not speaking the language or knowing the culture, and wins there too, also heavily influencing the way football is played there. Onto Celtic to rebuild and turn around a side who had been destroyed by Rangers the previous year. Wins a double then a treble, with the fans falling in love with him along the way. Makes it to the Premier League and gets off to a flying start.

Underpinning all this is the very human story where his obsession and love for football was borne from a desire as a child to get closer to his father. Dad tells him that he's going to manage in Europe and make it to the top of the game, yet tragically dies about a year before seeing it happen.

When you know that story you instantly want him to succeed. It’s a story without privilege and so valuable as a coach to connect with his players who come from similar humble beginnings. I always had faith in him being able to turn Richy around because of it, and hopefully the Brazilian goes on with it now.

Thomas Broich, the talented German midfielder Postecoglou persuaded to leave Nurnberg for Brisbane Roar, and who is now head of methodology at Hertha Berlin, tells Greechan that Postecoglou is “authoritarian almost” in his football.

“He’s relentless. And only perfection will do. He can be very, very grumpy, actually. It’s not easy to satisfy him.”

But Broich’s admiration for Postecoglou is clear. While his training and playing regime is demanding and requires physical and attitudinal adjustment, it is also rewardingly ambitious and, ultimately, convincing to both players and supporters.

Hands up, if you also thought that Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman is basically the only one on here, who would post this thought :ange-hmm:

Mom to, or at least sane voice of, 1000 stark raving mad sons and a handful of weird daughters, innit :ange-lol:
