Not supposed to make sense, it's all part of the football phenomena i.e. "The game is a six pointer" etc. I suspect when Noah first said it he was suggesting local derbies can often go against a team's current form rather than with it.

Just reading a piece on the The Athletic about Romero and the following paragraph caught my eye:

"To give a sense of how much things have changed at Spurs since last season, let’s look at the last time Spurs played Sunday’s opponents Woolwich. The goalkeeper was Hugo Lloris (now third choice), and the other defenders were Eric Dier (yet to play this season), Clement Lenglet (no longer at the club), Ryan Sessegnon (injured since February) and Matt Doherty (released on a free a few weeks later). None have played a minute under Postecoglou."

I mean, fuck me, we didnt really have a chance did we???

If I had more time I would do an assessment of the last ten years. Imo form doesn’t go out the window, the home team generally wins. You could assess pre match odds and outcome and I’m sure you would be quids in if you backed the home team

To save me reading 22 pages, am I right in thinking if we win, Ange is on a title charge with a great squad, if we draw Champions League is on next season with the building blocks for a good squad, and if we lose Levy is a bald cunt that has given us a shit squad?

BTW, something just occured to me... the gooner players have never played against or possibly even much footage of Vicario, Udogie, Van De Ven, Sarr. You could probably throw Johnson in that pile too.

This is not the same old Spurs, they may be caught out by what the likes of Udogie can do.
 
Woolwich are starting their first XI for the CL, outside of Ramsdale who has been dropped for the second time in a row. Hope he returns to the lineup for the NLD.

Let’s just give them a game instead of raising the white flag like we do often did under Jose and Cunte. They would send us out defeated already saying they have far better players, spend more , blah blah blah. Yet are managed by a dick who these so called elite managers were scared of.
A good performance to let them know we are not scared of them is all we ask. Result will take of itself.
 
Would have expected the goons to play up to strength tonight get the points done as early as they can would be the aim to get through.Looking ahead to the weekend given our record there I would take a draw only thing I am confident about is we won't roll over like recent visits and then you never know we are long overdue a win even if we have all the luck .
