Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Should be rested/on the bench for Luton, but we're very thin on Richy-friendly combos with Perisic, Gil and potentially BJ out with injuries. Veliz looked busy but doubt he's ready to start in the Prem.

If we start Solomon he should be encouraged to dribbly-boi to the byline and cut back.

Maybe a front line of Richy (LW) Veliz (ST) and Kulu (RW) to start with and then bring on Solomon and Son if needed.

Abso-fucking-lutely not !!!

Ange gameplan needs dynamic players that could exploit the room and opportunities at full pace. And you suggest we should field our 3 least dynamic players with one go ?!?! That would be a freaking tragedy.

In my view, if even remotely possible, we should play with 2 fast players of Son- Johnson- Solomon and potentially Gil. Then we can accomodate one less-quick options. At least there should be 1 from the fast-player-options starting. But 0 ? NO. Plase NO!

It's Luton

And THAT is exactly the attitude that will cause us to fuck up. Hope to god the players don't have the same attitude.

And no, we won't be starting Veliz ahead of Son.
It's not an attitude of arrogance, it's about protecting our players. Ange has already subbed off Son and Maddison early in the last two big games to protect them.

It would be risky, but also brave to see what a different set of attackers can do, with potentially big upsides. A well rested Son and seeing if Veliz can be of real use to us now.

BJ is out, Gil is out, and Son is less suited to this match-up, especially carrying a groin issue. Richy up top and Son on the bench for me, although it's hard to see that happening given how much the latter is willing to play through for the team.

Whoever plays, I hope we see more of the overlapping runs from the wingbacks to drag Luton's defensive shape and create space.

No chance of Veliz over Solomon.

If you want to see if veliz is of use to us, he can get 20-30 minutes if we are winning.

Points dropped against Luton undoes all the good work of points picked up vs Pool, Man Utd etc.

I champion rest and rotation (like when I backed Ange's Carabao selection) but this IS the priority (prem) and we're playing 1 game a week. Unless it's seriously risking these guys we need them to strap up and keep this momentum going.

It is definition of arrogance.

How else do you explain STARTING player that has one extra-time substitution appearance in a EPL game over Solomon, who has 24 games in EPL having scored 4 and assisted 2 goals.

You are totally detached from reality here. Roughly 2 weeks ago we were BEHIND another promoted championship team at our home ground in 94th minute (!) and now you come out and suggest that basically giving academy player a start in EPL game is not arrogance. And not only that - Veliz is absolutely different style and built player compared to Son and Solomon. You suggest throwing in a youngster AND change the system, because "It is Luton". Good grief, I know it is internet forum and all, but I still somehow would expect some basic logic and understanding here.

I don't have anything against Veliz. I agree he could have upside in the future. But that is just not how you integrate young players from different continent. I can also understand not starting Son if playing through injuries could impact his long-term form. But nothing explains why we should not start Solomon in that case.

We're talking about one player here. If we don't date to take on Luton without Son we are pussies. Even then we can still bring him on if needed.
