Bullet dodged.

Surely he wasn't this suspect for Brentford? I watched a bit of him and he looked decent. Not £40m decent, mind, but decent nonetheless.
That's probably the difference between playing for Brentford and a big 6 club. Suddenly the pressure is up, people talking about you on social media, and you're asked to do more work on the ball etc.

Vicario also had a wobbly start for the same reason, but he quickly steadied himself... Raya can't seem to manage it.

His short passing wasn't really tested to this extent. His distribution was rated based on his ability to ping long balls which is very different to short passing when pressed.

He looks like the lack of confidence in this area has spread to rest of his game. Long may it continue

I’ve never seen a manager try to play up injuries like Arteta does. Usually managers remain vague and positive about injury updates but not Arteta.

He comes out and states that “it doesn’t look good” for Jesus after he was subbed with tightness in his hammy. And then they interview Jesus and he just says he felt tightness and it shouldn’t be any problem.:ange-facepalm:

He does it at stupid times as well - like pre-Bournemouth

Loads of managers use injuries to try to mask what their line-up might be before a crucial / big game........they don't waste it by crying wolf against fucking Bournemouth

Ridiculous how this David Brent impersonator managed to get a gig a football manager and even win something.

A hit on the credibility of the title of football manager.

the keeper shit is going to fuck them its only a matter of time before raya gets punished. dont think the scum look a good side when ive seen them. they are a bunch of flat-track bullys. even last couple of years, theyve bashed shit sides and choked when they came up against a real test. odegaard and saka do nothing in the big games and they are meant to be their key players. martinelli is their best player and the way he plays hes going to get injured a lot being that direct. theyve rode their luck so far, theyll be lucky to get 4th this year.

You're right about Odegaard but wrong about Saka

what big game has saka really damaged the oppo?

done fuck all last night against a poor sevilla side in a big game. he wont do anything when hes up against a team that actually want it, same with most of them as they are little boys. without martenlli they are toothless.

Go and look at his record, he either scores or assists in every match he plays in

Even against Chelsea he was shackled by Cucurela for most of the game, still came out with an assist.

Also scored in their first CL match against PSV - I can't be arsed to look but I know he's always stepping up in their big matches and is proving a match winner for them.

Come on now that's overstating it, at best it was 1 game, and most likely even that was down to our perception and a need for positive reinforcement rather than any real negatives on his part...

He had a couple of shakey moments on Monday and yet now, because we're overall aware of his ability and comfortable with him, nobody bats an eyelid over it.

a shit chelsea side, bar a serious lack of concentration from that agusto or whatever his name is he was anonymous. the way people go on about saka im expecting to watch him destroy a shit chelsea side. hes a basic winger that can only really cut in, no real nous all basic shit that he gets away with against physically inferior fullbacks. flat-track bully, lets see what he does against newcastle away, liverpool games, other tough european nights. did he even play against city? you wont see city in a poorer state and they struggled to get over the line.

odegaard looked unreal against us last year when we were on the floor. im now understanding why madrid let him go, when the intensity is turned up its a different game.

FFS why do you have to go and make me look up his stats

This season alone. he's affected every big game he's played in:

Last season similar:

He's genuinely one of the best players in the league for a reason, calling him a basic winger shows a lack of understanding of the game or shows that you're generally clueless, no offence.

If you think he's a basic winger and he's not all that I'd really love to know who you actually rate.

They've stunk all season, and still getting results.

Reminds me of that spell we had under Conte at the beginning of last season (iirc).. then the wheels fell off.

Only thing is, these cunts are so fucking jarzy, they could well get away with it the whole stretch.
