Levy In or Levy Out

There are those that believe Paul Mitchell left because of Levy. I’ve posted a link to Gab Marcotti (very good football journalist) saying he heard it was Pochettino who the problem was with, as Poch didn’t want to work under a DOF.

Here’s a link to him repeating that this week, saying this came from someone well connected at the club. Starts about 2m in.

To me this is exactly what I've consistently been saying since Mitchell arrived:
1) Go check out Poch's first Press Conf following the appointment of Mitchell. He completely distanced himself from him, he categorically denied Mitchell was appointed because of him, not once did he welcome him to the Club which is usual etiquette.
2) When we sacked Mitchell Poch was given the Title "Manager" from First Team Head Coach. In effect, we gave him the keys to Tottenham. (I've always wanted Spurs to operate with a DoF who has oversight of all football operations but given what we were doing under Poch at the time and the number of Clubs actively tapping him up, I too would have "promoted" Poch in order to keep him at the Club).
3) Poch always made a great effort to be seen to be inclusive with all football staff i.e Lots of photos with staff when the accepting manager of the month awards, photos with Levy on the pitch when training ahead of an away CL game, lots of talk and name-checking and photo's with McDermott and their relationship. Now find one reference or one photo with him and Mitchell when they were supposed to be working together - nothing.
4) The only possible thing that contradicts the above is the comments he made when it was announced Mitchell had resigned: On Mitchell, Pochettino added: “I feel very disappointed with his decision. It’s his personal choice. We have a relationship from Southampton and I feel very disappointed. But when a person takes a personal decision, what can I do? He’s still working with us. We’ll see what happens. We need to finish the three weeks [of the window] working together and try to do the best business for the club. Then, we’ll see what happens.”
But even here I see that he's shifting the reason onto Mitchell and the reason for leaving was because he knew he was being replaced (by Poch) or he simply couldn't get on with Poch so left (there were a number of reasons put out there but non-focused on their relationship not working).

FWIW - Both were shite at recruitment.

I just feel like the worse Manchester City violates fair play rules the more likely it is that every team in the league other than Man City will end up getting charged with something. The current situation is so ridiculous I think the only way to fix it is to declare a general amnesty for everything in the past and clearly define the rules and penalties for the future starting two seasons out.

Just listening to this I can't work out who the fuck is supposed to be liable, Defoe, Portsmouth, Spurs, The FA or even if anyone is liable as it was dealt with at the time (something Matt Lawton of The Times also admits he doesn't know).

I’ve listened to about a third of the video and it seems that this is something Matt Lawton wants reopened to punish Tottenham for.

Whether it is because he is a Woolwich fan or because a distraction is needed for the Big Vested Interest clubs… I’ll let others decide.

It does need a reset. Clear new enforceable rules. The current ones aren’t working as everyone’s breaking them/finding loopholes around them.

That’s the problem these days. People are so fickle & easily pleased. Levy done a crap job for the last 5 years. I won’t list the massive list of cock ups. We have a good few months & all is forgiven. The sheep follow the leader who thinks they are mugs & rips them off & would rather we played in east London in the super league.
Then these sheep are shocked that once again he left us short in various positions & it has only taking a few months to come back to haunt us. Just like they are shocked every time it goes wrong with every manager sometimes even 3 in a month! Then they turn on the manager they were supporting so much at the start.

No no no.no no no. The reset comes after the punishing of the extreme rule breakers the sides that utterly flouted the rules to gain a sustained sporting advantage, the teams that were basically Ben Johnson his eyes on stalks his muscles like canned hams fizzing with roids. The it's all busted thinking is exactly what this Defoe fuckrey is for! One is a minor infraction the other an attempted to swindle an Olympic gold medal.
