Not just that, but to be annoyed at others for wanting us to give ange a good striker & cover in key positions. Why would you not want that!!! Instead they want him left short & us to slide down the table. Odd bunch.
& as you say, other teams would have a hell of a time dealing with the fans if they sold probably the best striker in the world due to running the club in to a shambles with 3 managers in a month. But us don’t seem bothered at all.
Many of them seem quite young, they are probably part of that generation for "just taking part" is good enough.
They don't seem pissed when we lose or things go wrong, but it takes all sorts I suppose.
Under ENIC I see spurs as a more upmarket version of west ham.they are a turd, we are a polished turd.
The reason why, fans of other clubs laugh at us is, because we as a club, give it the impression of a big club, but when it comes down to it we are not.

Yeah I agree. More of a decent corporate club with nice facilities but doesn’t threaten the big boys but claims to be one especially when you see the ticket prices!
Yeah I notice many younger fans don’t seem fussed whether they win or lose. & it feels more like they are being fake & playing along…going through the motions.

What would you like them to do?

Bash their keyboards a bit harder

I wish they'd all shut the fuck up to be honest.

The protests were only ever about 20 strong, had a high of about 70-80 towards the end of last season.

Do any of you think moaning on here or on twitter (when we lose and ONLY when we lose) is going to do any good?
You aren’t even spurs pal. Didn’t go twenty years ago, your opinion has zero relevance

I think it makes very very little difference.

The protests in the stadium will have affected Levy. Not much but they will have affected him.

Reality is that the Premier League is foreign-owned now. Saudi/US/Asian consortium or Saudi's via US owners. The league isn't suitable for an ownership group with "English" in the name.

Levy gets the hate and frustration that people feel when they realize how pointless it is now to watch football on TV. The only enjoyable experience in football for fans of teams outside the elite is going to the game with your mates and feeling that sense of community.

Maybe. Who knows?

But then maybe we wouldn't have the prospect of another 23 years of under achievement, 1 league cup, fans getting fleeced, and every manager being sold short as the losing mentality continues to manifest itself from the top down.
For the record I made the point when we were top of the league. But alot of the apologist seemed to think wanting a Tapsoba and VDV violated some innate law of nature. Its like they hadn't watched football the three defeats on the spin because we are decimated were about as predictable as it gets.

So true. We all said only 2 good CBs to see you through a season is asking for trouble.

ENIC Spurs will go down as one of those sad, nearly stories in Sport where they spent so much money on a stadium and doing things the right way but never really had the courage in their convictions to push the boat out and do what it takes to win.

I think younger supporters simply have a less fanatic view on things. Probably a lot of reasons factoring into that.

Younger supporters have spent their entire lives with far more competition for their entertainment attention than just football.

They were probably toddlers the last time Spurs won even a LC and have never seen Spurs win a major trophy (last FA Cup in 91). If you were born in 2000, you're 23 and have seen us win 1 LC at age 8, lose 2 further finals, have one real crack at the league, and lose a CL final.

They almost certainly didn't "grow up on the terrace" as it were, as in the final years of WHL the wait list was so long even supporters with years and years of LPs were struggling to get tickets at times. And the costs are prohibitive for most working class kids to make a habit out of it.

This is quadruple for the kids that actually live in Tottenham, not a lot of locals getting in the stadium these days. So the younger supporters you have are more likely attached to the club through more tenuous links.

It's a different experience for them than it was for earlier generations. Spurs/football are part of their world, but less likely to be a massive part of that world.

They aren't being fake, they have only known ENIC Spurs so this is what they think Spurs is.

This point rings hollow at the moment, as until this squad's 4 most expensive players all went out with injuries or a suspension, we were top of the league.

ENIC have spent significant money recently, it's just that none of it is currently on the pitch.

There's always some fair criticism to level at them, but this one isn't it at this moment.
