far too timid. you can not have him and son in the front 3 in games where the other team are happy to get back and compact. its fucing braindead. they are going to offer you fuck all they arent good enough technically and dont have the nous to play through...they also dont have the physical fight you need...you need to be prepared to get into battles and get fucked up and these two dont have the minerals for that its not part of their dna.

open games with space to run into...yea great. if youre the opposing manager and you see these two in the lineup you know all you have to do is get back and compact and hit us on the counter...

He played bloody well against City, you cunts are so fickle, this forum is increasingly driven by shitposter melts
Perhaps, but that’s the nature of the game.

I desperately want him to do well but my main concern is the money we spent on him at a time when we really needed to replace Harry’s goals.

I just don’t see that selfish desperation to get a shot off and try and win the game. It’s as if he’s thinking about things too much.

He has some great core attributes. Well, he’s fast. But we need more than that at the moment. And if he’s ‘one for the future’, we overpaid.

Harry is the best striker in world football next to Mbappe and we have moved on, we weren’t buying to replace Harry we were buying to establish a foundation for an entirely new style of play - it was never going To be anywhere near a like for like change. Forget about Harry.

I’m not saying like for like. Of course that would be absurd.

But we need players to come in and make an *immediate* impact. Look at the difference Udogie has made, in comparison to Sess. And VdV to Dier.

It’s about technical quality and self-belief.

It’s not really about the lad. I hope he fills his boots. It’s about how we spend money and build the squad. We have a habit of overpaying on underwhelming players.

Both wings had that 'overthinking' feel today. The lack of quality crosses meant we recycled back to the centre and then back to the wing again.

A Bakayoko-profile winger is what I'm hoping for. Strong, fast, technically sound and able to put the ball in/take on their man.

There are maturity issues that’ll develop with time, no issue with that.

My worry right now is technically he doesn’t look great. His first touch isn’t particularly sharp and I think that puts him off balance a lot. He need to get the ball under control a lot lot quicker and that will allow him to cause more issue for defenders.

No doubt raw talent but he has a lot to work on. 👍

No need to panic yet guys!

I know it’s early days with him but for the price we paid, I’d be hoping for a lot more of a finished product. Ange talked about conviction in his post-match comments and he’s one, I feel, who needs that. Hope the belief and aggressiveness comes along for him.

Just cos Ange said he wanted him and they wanted to make themselves believe. People have this strange obsession with wanting to be positive.

I thought the general notion was that people wanted Levy to "back the manager"(*).....

(*I mean; I firmly believe that what a lot of them actually mean is "I want Levy to spend annually spiraling amounts on the players that I want", but that's the espoused rhetoric at least........)

hes 23 next year

its not like hes 20 and a rising star

Yeh, I afterall your dream signing was Anthony..... Remind us all how that's going.......

23 y/o..... 90m..... Benched.... Trying to loan him out to Flamengo in Brazil........

...........And a little bit of wife-beating on the side.

Hes been good in general but tonight poor. Don't think being on the left side of the forward line brings the best out of him as he's not a cut in and shoot type of player.

Perhaps I've got it all wrong but I though he WAS a cut in and shoot player that Forest favoured from the right.

I thought the flip to the left was about him NOT being inverted and trying to get him to play a bit more like a trad winger instead.
