Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

And people keep overlooking the fact our only goal was itself quite lucky.
Yup, we failed to even seriously threaten their keeper with 23 shots and 7 on target. Outrageous level of poor finishing all season long.

Ange has to seriously work on finishing drills in training.

I can get down with that.

An actual practical solution; rather than all the "change things", 'baby out with the bathwater'-isms that are swirling around atm.

Strange how it all turns to shit when they work for Daniel Levy
Came into a failed squad.

And it is no way near fixed.

We got spoilt at the beginning of the season.

But many knew it was impossible to sustain, due to inevitable injuries/suspensions.

With only a first 11, this season was always going to get bumpy.

It's actually better it happened earlier, rather than later; Ange can at least try and squeeze 2/3 players out of Bald Cunt, in Jan, with a much better case.

It depends on the fans. If the fans turn on Ange, he'll probably see the season out.
If they turn on Levy, he'll be out quicker than a vindaloo laced with laxatives.

It's more than evident from your posting and the little ticks and likes that you give out that you're turning on Ange already.

Funny cos you've been goading others constantly about doing as much since he was first hired.

What a total shit-house you are.

Baldy won’t get away with sacking Ange, it was ok with Mourinho and Conte as they bought the club into disrepute and played eye watering football

Ange has bought the club together

If uncle Joe and Levy don’t back him in Jan and the summer they’ll have no excuses left

having a front line where not one of them is good in the air is a big problem. its so easy to defend against if you dont have to worry about crosses coming in. get tight and compact and they wont play through you.

if every side we played against just got men in their box and flooded the box with defenders we would be in a relegation fight with that team he used last night. he has to adapt ASAP.

Are you going to place your trust in Lewis and levy?
No, and my point is this time they have no excuses, we can all see the squad needs major investment and our manager has given us a glimpse of how we could play if it is given that investment

Levy and Lewis have no leg to stand on if they don’t back him

Mourinho and Conte sacked themselves, Ange would never do that

Wether it was luck or judgement we’ve landed on a diamond and we need to back him and understand who the real villains are

If Ange has a decent squad and then can’t perform fair enough but we can all see how we play and how our player limitations are holding us back big time. Fix the player limitations then judge the manager and if we can’t fix the player limitations then we know Levy/board /club are what is holding us back not the manager.

Clearly some of the usual reactionary melts can’t, or more likely won’t see that!!

Your full post hit the nail on the head IMHO.

I’m convinced Ange is our man.

We need patience and investment.

Any imbecile saying or believing Postecoglou is under pressure is simply denying the facts.

This is what expectation does. A ridiculously good start then injuries , amd now a few defeats, admittedly with the most painful being last night

But at the start of the season if we were told we would sit 5th, ahead of the teams we are and with our points total, none of us would have said nah not good enough. Well maybe a couple of twats would of. We know who they are.

Let's get our heads down, avoid the back pages and hope we do better on Sunday. And if we don't we go again. and then into the transfer window, where we do need additions.

The guy should be okay. No guarantees, but what this guy certainly deserves is at least 18 months in the job to show his true worth.

Pzabbythethird What about that do you disagree with?
I guess I disagree that he has had nearly a long enough tenure for him to be needing to "get results" without his words ringing empty.

At the end of next season (24-25) is when discussions can be had if he's doing a job. Provided he's been backed. I think Ange would agree too.

Udogie’s backpass epitomises what’s wrong with the team, most especially yesterday. Udogie showed a complete lack of concentration, a lack of intelligence and a lack of application.
He is playing in the foremost football league in the world, he is a sportsman at the top level of his sport, he is payed millions of pounds and is playing in a critical game for Spurs and yet he gets the ball, can’t figure out what to do with it, so he turns around and carelessly just pushes the ball back to the keeper with no application or focus so it only gets about half way and suddenly we are in real trouble.
As Sonny intimated in his interview yesterday, in not so many words, our players need a massive kick up the arse, they need to be read the riot act and need to understand that they are immensely privileged to be playing for Spurs and that not just each game is totally important but actually each move on the field, each kick.

They managed this in the City game, they need to do it every minute of every game, god knows they’re paid enough.

Thanks for listening - Rant over …..

(Yes I am fucking annoyed, my WH mate just texted me saying: Can we play you every week?).
He’s also a very young player that overall has done better than we expected.

Very costly error, but he’ll learn from that big time!

Let's wait and see what happens, of course he needs investment that is clear.
But some of the results we have had, I think injuries are covering over the excuses a bit.
Let's see if the team picks itself up for Sunday.

They'll still have the unwavering support of a section of our fanbase, though. (Lewis from behind bars, perhaps)
And it'll be Ange they turn against first. We've seen it before when Pochetinno was rewarded with 0 signings in two successive windows. The fans turned on him and lauded Levy for appointing Mourinho.
It's a story that's been playing out for nearly a quarter of a century

The crazy thing about all this negativity (and I'd happily admit to being on a downer today) is that towards the end of the first half I was thinking that it was one of the best performances I'd seen from us since peak Redknapp in terms of movement and control. Up there with the "ole, ole" match against Real Madrid. Just missing the goals.

Ofc, that missing the goals part is fairly important.

It will still be playing out for another 25 years.
