Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I guess I disagree that he has had nearly a long enough tenure for him to be needing to "get results" without his words ringing empty.

At the end of next season (24-25) is when discussions can be had if he's doing a job. Provided he's been backed. I think Ange would agree too.
Absolutely this. He hasn't stepped into a ready made squad, he inherited a shit show that he's effectively building from the ground up. Not just in the way we play, but also in the way we approach the game.

I said it in an earlier post, this is in its infancy, yet we've still managed to take big scalps and, more to the point, we've deserved them. Conversely, in all bar one of those matches we've lost, we didn't deserve the L we got, as we've either matched or bettered the team we've lost to.

No one likes a loss, but I'll take the short term hits for the long term gains all day everyday.

But as you've already mentioned, backing him is absolutely key. As think tank has already said, no excuses here. If the owners can't see what this man brings and fail him, I'm getting a season ticket on the ENIC out train.

he gets the ball, can’t figure out what to do with it, so he turns around and carelessly just pushes the ball back to the keeper with no application or focus so it only gets about half way and suddenly we are in real trouble.
there was an easy little triangle on too with davies and bissouma. the question is, does he choose to ignore davies on purpose due to him being a weak link? shit like this defo comes into play in football. players wont pass to certain team mates in certain situations because they dont rate them.

Who knows where we will finish at the moment, we are capable of beating anyone and losing to anyone.
Certainly in the short term, it would be very disappointing if we didnt improve on last season or get into Europe. In the long term we could be one of the best in the league, I just hope Levy holds his nerve and backs him in the transfer market, he's only partially done that so far and Ange is dealing with the consequences of that.

Ange has plenty of credit left in his account atm, the time to carry out the post mortem will be after a couple of seasons/windows when he has been able to acquire personnel more able and suited to carry out his philosophy. At such time it might be more reasonable to determine where we are and whether or not his stewardship has move us forward, backward or not at all.

Neither surprised or concerned at the perennial sobbing from the knee jerkers they reside at every club and are generally heard and never seen. Anyone who believed the masses preference for playing nice entertaining football regardless of the result either need to get out more or realise the tooth fairy does not exist, nothing is more important than winning.....I refer my fellow yiddos to the Villa game.

We lost because we can’t hold on to a lead and we don’t create as much as you and others think we do. We’re so fucking fragile it’s pathetic.

He’s the coach. Fix it. So many losses from winning positions is an awful record.
We are bottom half in terms of xg this season. Its very strange people are blaming attackers for not finishing chances. If the coach turns them into a bunch of Harry Kanes, thats great , but he really needs to get us to be more creative instead.

The crazy thing about all this negativity (and I'd happily admit to being on a downer today) is that towards the end of the first half I was thinking that it was one of the best performances I'd seen from us since peak Redknapp in terms of movement and control. Up there with the "ole, ole" match against Real Madrid. Just missing the goals.

Ofc, that missing the goals part is fairly important.

I literally felt fucking sick when I woke up this morning.

I think it's fair to assume that when people bitch about the attack that they're lumping the creative responsibilities in with that.

Clearly some of the usual reactionary melts can’t, or more likely won’t see that!!

I'm not having a dig, but surely 1 point from 15, including 3 straight home losses where we've led in all 3 (unprecedented in 140 years) is meltworthy territory?

If not, what then would you say it IS justified. ......1 point from 21? 10 without a win?

Accusing fans of melting after such a pathetic, awful run of results comes across as somewhat patronising and high horsemanship, if you don't mind me saying .

We shouldn't have done but we got our hopes up with the first 10 games but looking back at those results, in none of those games did we grab the opposition by the nipples and swing them round the car park and at times we were very fortunate to come away with the points. A weakened squad has exposed the fact we are at the very beginning of a brilliant project

- Burnley were battered.
- Luton should have been, but we were wasteful and then went down to 10 men after only 45mins.
- Despite the shit being kicked out of us; Palace would have been a stroll in the park had a late handball goal not made an injury time drama out of everything (Fulham; similarly where both Son & Madz were both all but literally kicked off this pitch.)

We also played very well v the Scum & the Dippers.

Fate smiled kindly vs Liverpool; but otherwise I don't think we have any points that we didn't firmly deserve.

A weakened squad has exposed the fact we are at the very beginning of a brilliant project

That much is spot on though.

It's like a fucking cunt circus in here.

Stop fucking melting.

Honestly, most Spurs fans are so addicted to the drama and trauma that I wonder if they don't really want to enjoy football for the actual game on the pitch.

The others hate ENIC so much that they'd prefer we had more disasters to continue being right about them.

It is mainly Levy's fault for the chaotic leadership he's fostered at the club and the fact that we have become so accustomed to disaster after disaster. By design or not, it's the Spurs model for commanding our attention now. Always too high or too low.

Ange clearly has something special about him and I'm fucking sick of the drama that follows this club around. Whatever happens with Ange, if they abandon this project without seeing it through it will be my last. I'm done with this club if they bottle it again.

They won because they scored more goals than us.
Our goal was lucky. Ignore the commentary purring about how Romero "placed it in the corner"
He just got a touch and it just went in.

With 75% possession and almost all of it played in their third of the pitch, they should have been buried within the first 25 minutes with no way back.
But we kept trying to pass it into the net and got nowhere near it.
It was a fine header, he can be a dominant presence up front at set pieces with his aggression to win the ball and be physical at the same time

I didn't think the wheels would fall off this badly. Needs to find a pragmatic side to his game as well, very naive.
