Hojbjerg has some agent man.

Whatever happens I think he'll get his move next month.

I don't begrudge him it, either. The man is a solid professional and I've never doubted that he's given 100% on the pitch, even with his sudden diminished role since Ange has come in. The key thing is that we don't do another Davison Sanchez and let him go without someone else coming into the CM position.

On a general note, it does feel like we're actually (God willing) going to hit the ground running this January in a fashion that we usually don't. Lots of transfer rumours swirling around and there's still another ten days until it opens. Combine that with Ange's press conference comments...

Disagree on Bissouma.

Maddison and Bentancur are fair points but our season will be dependant on them staying fit again regardless of what we can sign in the January window.

GLC probably goes in January tbh.

I would be reasonably excited by replacing PEH and GLC with Gallagher though. Just not sure it's a priority compared to a new #6.
GLC swap for Gallagher? GLC was a Poch signing so you never know.

Their own fault for running their football club like complete amateurs.

I'd be livid at Levy if he ran Spurs like this, no doubt people would be blinded by the fact that he'd spend £1B though.

Spending equals success if you have a good plan like City or to a lesser degree Arse but it needs a coherent vision of how you want to play combined with elite scouting.

Boehy came in, decided he would only buy young players and get a manager like Potter then Poch with a track record of improving young players.

The players he bought have been mostly shit, worse than Chelsea’s academy. I would love to know how he came up with the player list he went for.

Additionally Chavs had the best academy in the league, yet most of them have been sold off and are arguably better than the players they bought.

Recent years players who have been a part of it have included:

- Gallagher
- Tomori
- Guehi
- Colwell
- Chalobah
- Livermento
- Lamptey
- Lewis Hall
- Christensen
- Loftus Cheek
- Billy Gilmore
- Declan Rice (they let him go mid way to Hammers)
- Mason Mount
- Jamal Musiala
- Tammy Abramham

Just think about that list if they were Spurs and we sold them all off or most of them anyway. I mean Rice, Musiala, Tomori, Abraham could all do a job for Chavs right now and add Gallagher to the potential leaving party if we buy him.

While Tottenham will be looking to sign a new centre-back in the January transfer window, they are also thinking about their long-term future on the market.

We say this because a report from Belgium, via DH, states that Spurs are interested in signing Ajax U21’s Stanis Idumbo-Muzambo.

The player’s contract in the Netherlands is set to expire at the end of the season, and that’s why Tottenham are coming forward.

Right now, the ‘most concrete avenue’ leads to Spurs, who have offered the 18-year-old a ‘project of four years’ for him to think about.
The idea would be for him to join in January and be with the first-team until the end of the season before assessing him at the end of the campaign.

The decision would then be made to either stay and fight for a spot in Ange Postecoglou’s plans or find him a loan to get him minutes.

Tottenham aren’t the only interested side, though, as AS Monaco are also after him, and are ‘ready to sign him’.

Their plan would be to then loan him out to Cercle Brugge, but that isn’t something the 18-year-old wants at this moment in time.

DH adds that he ‘needs to decide in these next few days’, with Tottenham currently in the lead.
I do not know the back ground of why he's refusing to extend his contract at Ajax but I have reservations about young players who are contract rebels - particularly when it comes to a club like Ajax that has an excellent track record with it comes to academy players. Back in 2021 I remember Spurs were in hot pursuit of Barca's contract rebel Ilaix Moriba. He ended up joining Leipzig but never hit the ground really since then, although he's racked up 38 games for Valencia.
Of course, Stanis may have a "legit" reason for wanting to leave....

This would be my window...

Jota LW (24) 30/6/26 €8.00m (loan with buy option) - Al-Ittihad Club

+ such a creative player, passes, crosses, long shots, can keep hold of the ball
- not great in the air, only moved four months ago, ridiculous moustache

26.png
André DM (22) 30/6/26 €25.00m - Fluminense (watch him play the oil riggers live this sat)

+ exceptional passer, creates with through balls, tidy feet under pressure
- not great in the air, he's never played in europe, dippers want him

Tosin Adarabioyo CB (26) 30/6/24 €12.00m - Fulham

+ great in the air, good with his feet, plays left and right centre back, cheap
- his ceiling is near max, might want regular starts, short term fix

sell Rodon, Hojbjerg and Lo Celso, which would knock off a fair chunk of change
