Btw heard someone say "Don't have a a Danny La rue" the other day. Anyone old enough to tell me if that is the OG rhyming slang?

Heard the expression before,a lot in 70s and 80s,but as as founding(and only) member of "the campaign for original and genuine 18th &19th Cockney rhyming slang",I seldom, if ever use it...

Then friggin pay it. If we want to play with the big boys, we gotta act like them (minus the dodgy illegal-sounding shit a la City).

If Dan Dan wants to go the cheaper route (again) cause it's Jan or whatever, may as well go for that Tosin lad from Fulham. 15 mil and he's ours. He works out? Great. But if he doesn't, it's 15 mil and you'd recoup a big chunk of that selling him to Celtic or a promoted team.

Todibo at 40-50 ish makes little sense. Another foreign buy, no experience of big comps, not even the best defender in Ligue 1 (I watch it a lot, got a house in France where I spend a few months each year)...and yeah plenty red flags about his attitude.

Go get Tomori + CM + Clarke +ST and A] we'll have done what shoulda been in the summer...B] we're giving the cunts, dippers & oil riggers a serious fright/fight...C] we may actually win the glorious FA Cup...D] what a force we'll be next season, being 6 months ahead of the game (for once)
Tosin didn’t want us, he wanted Monaco for first team football.

I’ve seen Tomori make plenty of ricks and errors so everyone is a gamble. If Todibo fits the profile and with Davies proving capable we’ll be in good shape

Maybe not so many in recent times but....here are some players from the past who left the club and did rather well at other clubs:
Johan Cruijff
Johan Neeskens
Ruud Krol
Johnny Rep
Frank Arnseen
Søren Lerby
Marco van Basten
Frank Rijkaard
Frank de Boer
Roland Koeman
Clarence Seedorf
Edgar Davids
Dennis Bergkamp
Patrick Kluivert
Wesley Sneijder
Luis Suarez
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Frenkie de Jong

At Spurs:
Eriksen
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Yeah but who else?

Amazing how often you see comments from Spurs fans saying shit like "How will we keep Romero, VDV and Todibo happy"

You NEVER see a comment like that on a transfer for any of the other big 6 clubs. Just shows how well-conditioned Spurs fans are to believe their club is inferior.

we have enough injures/suspensions to make sure everyone gets a game anyway. If we are a top club and he is an elite player he will welcome competition for his place. The days of first 11’s died decades ago, you need a big quality squad these days.

Sarr is HG next season too possibly
Can Football Chap Football Chap confirm?
Yeah, Sarr can be HG for Prem because he will have been registered for us for 3 seasons before the end of the season he turns 21 (this season being his 3rd, was still registered with us when he was loaned to Metz)

I don't think he can be association or club-trained for UEFA even if we didn't loan him because the season had already started when we signed him so he would have missed the 3 seasons needed. I believe UEFA counts from the first game to the last game of a season whereas Prem rules count from the end of the summer window to the end of the season

Will we sign him and then he decides to represent Nigeria in the Africa Cup?

TOSIN ADARABIOYO has told Fulham he wants to leave at the end of the season as a free agent.

The Cottagers have offered the centre-back, 26, a new deal with his current terms due to expire in the summer.
But Tosin, who attracted interest from Tottenham and Monaco during the last transfer window, is expected to snub it as he wishes to move on for nothing when the campaign ends.

At present, Fulham still expect the Manchester City academy product to stay in January despite there only being months remaining on his deal.

Tosin will be able to agree a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from the start of next month.

Manager Marco Silva described the centre-back as "special" following his side's penalty shootout win over Everton in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Tosin struck the winning penalty and his Portuguese boss added: “He is a key player for us. He is one of the leaders in our dressing room."

Silva is believed to have not given up hope that Tosin will have a change of heart before the season ends.

Tosin has racked up 113 appearances for Fulham since joining from Manchester City in 2020, experiencing both promotion and relegation to and from the Premier League in that period.

He has missed 11 Prem games this season after groin surgery.

Exactly.

Especially the way we play. You need intensity and physicality to win with this style, or if you are Liverpool you need to sign asthmatics. If you don't have the best asthmatics that money can buy, you need a deep squad.

I’ve always been a fan.

No offence.
