It a bit of a concern though if Spurs are the only club interested in him....unless the Spurs scouts have "seen" things other scouts haven't.

I think Newcastle and possibly Liverpool also linked.

The names that Senegal picked ahead of him does worry me a bit:

Youssouf Sabaly (Real Betis), Kalidou Koulibaly (Al-Hilal), Moussa Niakhate (Nottingham Forest), Abdou Diallo (Al Arabi), Formose Mendy (Lorient), Abdoulaye Ndiaye (Troyes), Abdoulaye Seck (Maccabi Haifa), Fode Ballo-Toure (Fulham), Ismail Jakobs (Monaco).

Some absolute Donkeys in that list. If he's as good as he's meant to be, they surely would have picked him instead.

Genuine question here, but are we interested Jota because he is good and will make a difference, or are we after him because we sense a "deal that we would like to do"

Genuine answer.

We did a "deal" with Kulu and Bentancur involving a loan and look how that turned out?

Ange has worked with Jota, and Jota knows the system he would be coming into, what Ange is looking for and could slot straight in.

Loan with an option to buy would be a fantastic bit of no risk business.

Most international managers have there favourites, ask Gareth.

So whilst waiting for a conference call today. I spent an hour or so watching all the comparative clipped footage out there of Todibo and Dragusin. I think for a fit you would have to say Todibo is way better suited.

Radu Dragusin weirdly reminds of Big Michael Dawson, his gait his stride pattern and tackling. He mostly tries to get across the player and win the ball early. Possibly because how his team play or Serie A it self there wasn't much footage of the bloke in a foot race and minimal stock of his passing which to be honest looked rudimentary. He's brilliant in the air can head with more accuracy than some players pass. He looks like a stopper good at defending his box and proactive in winning the ball. He certainly looks decent without looking electric.

Jean-Claire Todibo certainly passes the eye test. I don't pretend to know anything about him but I can see why he was highly rated temperament aside he looks like a Rolls Royce, he is certainly quick enough for Ange's high-line bling, stock footage of him outpacing Doku. But where he stood out was his use and manipulation of the football. He's better on the ball than Hojbjerg. If I was going for one only and he's not a monstrous tool, at this point I'd go Todibo by a score of 8.0 over 7.5

Haven’t seen much of either but I fully agree mate. One of them is a supreme athlete in the VDV category that has all the tools like you described.

Dragusin looks an aggressive old school head it out beast but not as good with the ball or as smooth athletically

Maybe it might work, has he been playing during his time in the middle east.
With the on going player crisis, we would need someone to hit the ground running.

Yep that's my read of it. Todibo could oddly be used as an offensive weapon he can actually break lines from deep. If he gets the head right he'd be a hell of a watch under Postecoglou.

Thinking of setting up a justgiving page to try and raise the funds needed to buy us a Centre Back

Would people be willing to donate?
