Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

according to Rudy Galetti, Tottenham are following Kone, who has been shining for Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.

As well as Spurs, Liverpool are apparently in pursuit of the 22-year-old, the journalist reported on X.

In addition, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly added him to their wishlist too.

Kone certainly fits the bill as an Ange Postecoglou signing for Tottenham.

He is a top talent who, at just 22 years of age, has a high ceiling and plenty of years ahead of him.

Admittedly, it has not been a great season for Kone, who hasn’t featured much due to injury and suspension.

Nevertheless, he’s an outstanding player who has earned plaudits from many peers and commentators in recent years.

Tottenham target Manu Kone is ‘one of the most impressive players in the Bundesliga’
For instance, Get German News Football claimed in summer that Kone ‘will become one of Europe’s best’.

Meanwhile, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout lauded his display against Bayern Munich in February, deeming him a ‘one-man army’.

In addition, outing website Breaking the Lines wrote a comprehensive report on Kone last year, in which they sung his praises.

‘Kone has been one of the most impressive players in the Bundesliga this season,’ they wrote at the time. ‘Showcasing his versatility, athleticism, and technical ability.

‘Standing at 6’1”, Kone is an imposing figure in midfield, but he also possesses great speed and agility.

‘This allows him to cover a lot of ground on the pitch and make an impact both defensively and offensively.

‘In addition, Kone is a very good passer of the ball and has an excellent work ethic.’

In terms of his price tag, Fabrizio Romano said on X in the summer that Kone could be available for €35/40million (around £30/35million).

Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. Tottenham will certainly fancy their chances of signing Kone, but Spurs are up against some stiff competition.
Injury and suspension ……welcome to Spurs, perfect fit 😂😂😂

This is the one Levy needs to go all in on.

Perfect for us, and a player that would shake up Romero's game for sure.

I think Newcastle and possibly Liverpool also linked.

The names that Senegal picked ahead of him does worry me a bit:

Youssouf Sabaly (Real Betis), Kalidou Koulibaly (Al-Hilal), Moussa Niakhate (Nottingham Forest), Abdou Diallo (Al Arabi), Formose Mendy (Lorient), Abdoulaye Ndiaye (Troyes), Abdoulaye Seck (Maccabi Haifa), Fode Ballo-Toure (Fulham), Ismail Jakobs (Monaco).

Some absolute Donkeys in that list. If he's as good as he's meant to be, they surely would have picked him instead.
We've had a plethora of England managers who've got similar form for leaving talent behind, or picking players because they've "never let them down."

I wouldn't read too much into that mate.

Anyone know much about this fella? Hoping he can press really aggressively like prime Mane - any similarities or I am clutching at straws??

He's apparently just come good this season but 17 mill seems a real snip in the current market

Not convinced. He’s a very lanky striker kinda similar to Richarlison tbh. He hit a purple patch in the first month of the season, he scored 13 goals in 7 games. Since then he has only scored 4. The BL defending is criminal and even richarlison would look good playing there.

Hugo Ekitike's desperate to get out of PSG after they refused to play him for refusing to be part of the Muani deal part-ex.

Still only 21. Another kid with some talent (bit like Todibo story) who made the big move way too soon and fucked his career sideways for a couple of years.

If we struggle to bring in a wide attacker in Jan, pretty sure PSG will take a loan/option deal and the kid needs out so will jump at the PL IMO.

Didn't really see loads of him at Reims before the PSG move, but there was definitely a spark of something. Really unusual body type for a player of his type/position, but technically good and has some pace too.

Move to PSG was always a bad one for him. He needed playing time and PSG was never going to offer that (or the stability) to make progress. Talented kid but I’d worry about the advice he’s getting.

From Kane to Kone?

Everybody on here acts as if "the boss" hasn't created a sports department with Munn, Lange, Paritici (consultant), and isn't involved in transfers anymore.

Of course he’s still involved in transfers. He signs the cheques, does the negotiating. He might have set up this new football department but there’s no way he’s taking his hands off it totally. None at all, two decades of evidence of that.
