TMW have now relayed the same information regarding Tottenham’s demands but they allege that it is not just the structure of the deal that is an issue for Juventus but also the transfer fee.
The report says Spurs’ £26m asking price is ‘too high’ for the Serie A club, who face a ‘uphill road’ in agreeing a deal for the Dane.
The outlet explains that Hojbjerg is keen on a ‘change of scenery’ and that Ange Postecoglou ‘could indeed give his blessing’ for the transfer.
However, the deal remains a ‘difficult’ mission for the Old Lady and might not be possible unless Spurs are willing to accept an option to buy rather than an obligation while also lowering their asking price.
Spurs Web Opinion
I do think Tottenham would relax their demands for Hojbjerg if they can get another midfielder through the door first. Conor Gallagher will likely be the player that the Lilywhites prioritise over the coming weeks.
