Not their best player, I know they are shit but he’s been average this season. I do like his work rate and flexibility but I’m not sure tbh. Would take him over Skipp and Hoj tbh

Who else would you say then?

Palmer is hit and miss, Caicedo and Enzo have been mostly shit, James is their best footballer but is always injured, Colwell is talented but has been disappointing, Sterling is a giant brain fart, Jackson is a joke unless we are playing with 9 men. Most of the time Gallagher is the only Chav player who look like he cares, well him and Silva.

Edit: Gusto has started to look better recently.

Yeah was thinking Palmer but fair point, nothing in it really! I do like Chilwell but he’s as fragile and that oaf, James

Agree on the fact he cares/tries. We have quality, 110%’er could be a good addition to the silk of Benatcur, Maddison etc

Palmer could be exceptional but he is up and down. James would easily be their best if he could stay fit for more than 5 games a season. They have spent a billion on mediocrity.

Palmer is quality. Don't let his misses against Boro fool you, he's probably the most gifted player they have. I'd have him at Spurs in a heartbeat.

Him and Palmer have been the best of bad bunch this season, honestly though if they sell Gallagher then they're idiots - he's the sort of player they need right now and will always need in their squad.

I know Gallagher divides opinion but Chavs best player coming to us, the meltdown would be epic.

I dont think there would be a much of a meltdown as you think...well maybe for spurs fans spending 50 million on him.
If you read through his thread on the Chelsea forum it could well be the Hojbjerg thread here. Pub player, at least he's always fit, symbolizes the clubs fall from grace, decent player but shouldn't be a starter, mason mount is better etc etc etc.

He doesn't seem that much rated other there, just that he works hard and is always available. We have two of those already

Got to think there's better value in the lower leagues if we need that HG option

:bissoumahear:

It’s not a billion at all

Factor in the total wages committed too for a TCO (annual wage x 8-10 year term plus agents fees!!!).

They are mortgaged to fuck and have probably spent 200M on agent fees to get so many players in the door

I think it's time for an apology, once again you doubted the great man but as per usual, King Levy has pulled through yet again! 💪 💪💪💪

You all called threw your go karts out the stadium, you all wet your beds, smashed your keyboards like cats

Attended your online protests in your masses BUT you didn't BELIEVE

Trust in the man, the myth, the legend - Daniel Philip Levy!

Can we please have an apology to the great man, the man who is responsible for the club we are today, the man who is

And all you lot can get it to

Lol, I've seen it all now.

He’s also an excellent player. Don’t get the hate at all
He's not really hated, just not rated by some, which is fair enough.

I've not really seen enough of him to have a cast iron opinion of him, but what I have seen makes me a bit Vanilla towards him.

However, if he is seen as a player that will improve the collective, and I'll trust our management team on that score, then who am I to judge?

That sums up my concern but he was effective at Palace previously and Chelsea is a basket case

The unknown here is exactly how much trouble are the Chavs in, in terms of FFP.

If they *have* to do a deal, we will get him.
The're fine for ffp

And they are fine on the pitch

CB looking sorted for years to come. A far cry from the Dier, Rodon, Sanchez and old Toby era.

My suspicion has always been that Romero ends up at Madrid/City/ Bayern. His disciplinary issues may prevent this but if he has a strong 2-season run staying mainly injury/suspension-free then I think some big offers come in.

But now this isn't even a concern as we have a pool of Dragusin/Dorrington/Phillips/Vuskovic to step up as partner to VDV in the next couple of years. Odds are one of them can do it.

I think the CM links make sense. We have a decision to make on Skipp/PEH/Gio.
Skipp/PEH just don't cut the mustard for Angeball.
Not sure Gio would fancy being Maddison's rotation long-term plus he's perma-crocked anyway.

But assuming Gio stays, we're in pretty amazing shape if the new signing is good enough to push Sarr out of the first team:

Bentancur
(Biss)
New 8 --- Maddison
(Sarr) --- (Gio)

Gio probably won't stay past summer as we will need to upgrade - his injury record and needing to be fit a month before Argentina plays means we couldn't rely on him next season in europe when we play mid week and at weekends. Not to mention his contract is up in 18 months time and can't see us anxious to renew it - we need to upgrade on him.

So it would be good if someone wants to buy him this window (sadly Barcelona with FFP issues means they won't) free up a squad place and upgrade now.
