Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I said in the summer when everyone was pissing themselves about the Saudis taking over world football it was bollocks.

Football isn't fucking golf. You can't just buy 30 players and take over the sport.
TBF, I think you misread what most everyone was saying (especially me). No one said the Saudi league would take over football.

You think all these dodgy deals with inflated fees were done just to get some half ass, mostly has-been or never-were footballers was about league building?

Nusa and Vermeeren seem to be the two that alot of big clubs got linked with recently. These are the type of players City and Chelsea in the past would have hoovered up, young elite talents with the highest buy price. Glad we might be getting at least one of them.

30M to send him back on loan seems a lot, is he supposed to be better than Roony?
He's one of the top rated young wingers in Europe for sure. Scored on debut for Norway NT. Turned down chavski in the summer because he didn't like the pathway and how many other wingers they have.

Not saying he's a guaranteed star but this is the level of talent that Spurs haven't been able to recruit historically. No doubt Sarr and Udogie playing as starters has opened a few eyes for players and agents.

Sounds like a line in Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick
Bravo. Don’t agree with you on the levy stuff (I think you lost the flight of the ball there) but this is genuinely brilliant and funny. Spat out my vodka and coke.

I don't know ultimately what their end goal was/is, but whatever it was, I don't think it was worth people getting prematurely vexed about. I think people had seen what happened with the Golf and got themselves in a bit of a stupor. People were talking about conspiracies, the CL, Super league etc

Change of speed and direction with dribbling ability works at any level. Might need more upper-body strength to get past prem defenders grabbing and shouldering him but has the frame that you'd expect to fill out without getting too heavy. Reminds me of Sarr in that they both have an elite athlete build. Different build but both elite.

There were definitely a few on here talking about the Saudi teams getting into the CL and becoming the powerhouse of world football in just a few short years, conveniently forgetting that Saudi is a 40c hellhole with archaic views on society and women in particular. It will take a lot more than just money to shift the paradigm of European football being the utter juggernaut that it is, there is over 100 years of football culture and history that can't simply be bought. They will for sure have successes in other sports, they are doing particularly well in golf and boxing atm, but they will never shift the world footballing focus to Saudi, it's simply not feasible. I expect to see a curtailing of spending by Saudi teams as the PIF identifies more European/American teams to invest in and sportswash down that avenue instead. China tried to do it too for about 2 years and realised how fucking mental the spending would be to get to a place where they were an attractive proposition and the government put the kybosh on it very quickly.

Could we see next season?

Nusa/---------Son/--------Kulu/
Werner-----Giminez(?)-----Johnson

Richy is getting close to the level where you struggle to be confident that replacing him is an upgrade.

He has 8 goals, 7 prem. If he gets 15 prem goals, I'd def expect him to stay instead of taking a loss on him and punting another 40-50m on a striker.

But swap an in form Richy for Gimenez and that is a front 3 rotation with options.

I think he's more like a Sarr when we first bought him - highly rated but certainly not a regular starter next season for Spurs - only aged 18 and 19 in about 3 months, so probably not a surprise.

This season he's made 26 appearances in all competitions, half as starts, half off bench playing 1304 mins so far this season (14 games equivalent) with 3 goals and 3 assists. Not a bad record record for an 18 year old but Belgium Jupiter league is not the highest (and de Ketelaere who left Bruges 2 years ago as a highly regarded youngster struggled at AC Milan and was loaned out after a year to help adapt in a tougherleague)

Played under 1,000 mins last season (11 games equivalent) with 2 goals and 2 assists - but that was aged 17.

I imagine he replaces Gil in next season's squad, if Nusa comes, he is mainly one for the future.

And the Super League beating UEFA+FIFA in court makes you think a Saudi financed Super League is less likely?

Anyway, don't feel like arguing about it tonight.
