Barking at the wrong tree.

Going forward Bentancur is our first pick to #6 ; Sarr first at #8 and Madders first at #10.

Everything that Bissouma can do, Bentancur can do better.
On #8 Sarr and Bentancur overall quality is close, though Benta would offer more direct goal threat.
On #10 there is no dispute - Madders all the way.

In other 2 positions it bails down to simple formula - difference between quality between Bentancur vs Bissouma on #6 is bigger than difference in quality between Sarr and Bentancur on #6.

Bissouma had all the chances to establish himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet when Benta was injured and also Sarr had to miss some games. Started off well, but totally shat the bed and is now miles (if not tens of miles) behind in the competition.

Bentancur is nowhere as pressure resistant as Bissouma, and he isn't as good defensively either. he also lacks Bissouma's mobility and athleticism.

The qualities for Ange's single pivot 6 suit Bissouma better than Bentancur.

First ten games of the season he was the best midfielder in the league. He got sent off, had a couple of ok games (a couple where teams put a MOTM marker on him like MGW at Forest) then a very harsh sending off (two similar have both been rescinded) which cost him 4 games.

Bentancur has never put any performances that have hit the all round qualities that Bissouma's did the start of this season.

He doesn't know Jack. And the folks still sucking this up can buy the magic beans I got for them. He was punting the same rehashed logic "Spurs tried for him in the summer" so might comeback late in the window on a pod the other day. It's obvious we have moved on, likely Hojbjerg stays and we go younger than Gallagher.
Ornstein has called many Spurs' transfers before Romano. He's not exactly Sami Mokbele.

And yet here you are...Bright. Oh yeah here's a picture ...

Bentancur is not as good at 6 as Bissouma, simple fact. Biss is a very tidy tackler and his ball carrying under pressure is significantly better than Bentancur's. This is very important if you are going to play out from the back, most of the teams in the league are playing a mid block these days so you need someone who isn't going to shit the bed and give the ball away cheaply in a dangerous area, and for that Biss is your man. Bentancur is a much tidier passer of the ball and has fantastic off the ball work, making himself available for passes and progressing the team in the middle 3rd of the pitch, he is not shy of a tackle but defnitely not as proficient as Bissouma. Bentancur also seems to me like he has the potential going forward to be a goalscoring 8 in the Gerrard mould, he had a good run of goalscoring form prior to his ACL and scored against United on his first proper start back (if you discount the Villa game with the early injury). Again, that's a trait that would be wasted by confining him to the 6 role.

I don't really think Biss has "shit the bed" in any sense either, he has had games where he hasn't been as good, granted, but I can't think of one performance this season that had me with my head in my hands whimpering softly in the corner as I did many a time last season watching the Skippbjerg nightmare.

For the Gallagher groupies I just think they are getting played probably by the players agents. If you go pro's and cons, and put them on paper there's too many reasons it won't happen. I'll happily hold my hands up if I'm wrong but it's a case of the ship having sailed. There was a window in the summer and for whatever reason it didn't happen. Now it's incredibly unlikely, no matter how many journalists have columns to fill.

Gallagher isn't exactly desperate to leave that right there if you look at what Ange likes in players is instructive. Vicario (I'd sign in blood over Raya I just want out of Brentford) is his template. Gallagher-Chelsea fan now captain- wants to stay. Then there's a fee that at 50 million would be our third highest, then there's the optics for Todd and the board selling us a player that helps us get ECL with an outside shot at the title that happens their fans backlash would be intense. Against their issue with PSR. By all means enjoy the Tweet cycle but there's too much against this deal for it to happen.

Do I want him playing? Meh

Do I want us to help dig the sports washers out of a financial mess? Nope.

Do I want to see Chelsea plastics have their captain taken mid season crying?

I'm sure this article is just clickbait. But it would be massive. If.

Why do we want Kane back?
Team is starting to kick arse without him!

Not sure what you have watched...

Biss was brilliant for first 7 rounds and either dogshit or straight out missing in next 14. So twice the time he has been good, he has been nothing. Not press resistant, not mobile, not reliable.

Bentancur is much more aware on the ball than Bissouma, defensively he can do the job as well. Mobility and agility - from what Ive seen in recent games is better than most Bissouma performances.

Bentancur had arguably as good as any #6 performance as Bissouma in the first games, coming straight from 10 month absence, until that cunt Cash took him out.

Also, that is getting too detailed, but red card was absolutely right call, you have to be biased as hell if you put Calvert-Lewin and Bissouma situations to "similar" situations. He first fucked up under pressure (khm...press resistance) and then to make it up, totally lost his mind and went in studs up.

I am not writing him off, but what I am saying is simple - Bissouma has been shocking in recent times and it is his job to fight back his place in starting XI. For that he has to cut out A LOT what he has been doing. We need first-7-rounds-Bissouma back to be flying, but it is down to him to prove it was not a fluke.

It’s all just what Chris Sutton reckons Kane is feeling, so is obviously a nonsense
