Makes sense for him to go Palace, he's guaranteed game time there
He would get plenty of game time with us too, we haven't even been in Europe this year and we've been stretched.. Palace are a middle of a road team, like Zaha, like Eze he's just going to waste his career there.

We had the chance to move, we have even tried, again failed to take an opportunity.

Bit depressing seeing us put all our eggs into the gallagher train and seeing these youngsters move to different clubs

iMO we are leading them on. Them snakes have scuppered our deals and we owe them royally. Willian, hazard and marin spring to mind. Just dont want us to help chelsea.
In their effort to hijack Willian the only way they could get the deal done was to cheat. They will most likely get a points deduction from the Willian (and Eto) deal that gets them relegated (It's over multiple years, involving multiple transactions and therefore multiple frauds, each breach will be penalised (plus will likely see a whole bunch of other non-Willian related braches, probably in a similar number as those City are charged with, that will 100% relegate them + I suspect a lawsuit from Tottenham (and others) for lost revenue during this period that could legitimately bankrupt them, it would be in the hundreds of millions as we are talking about CL places and League and FA Cup wins. I call that a win.

IMO you are looking at this the wrong way around, Chelsea are already fucked, it will happen, they admit that these things happened, and they've even self-reported on some of the breaches due to be issued. The only way to look at this situation is: Does it help Tottenham? If Gallagher improves us then we should do it.

Chavs are already fucked, the only frustration here is when they get fucked (probably 3-5yrs???) but make no mistake, unlike City who denies any wrongdoing, Chavs admit they cheated. Their defence is it wasn't us (the current regime, which I suspect will keep them out of prison as the false accounting is also a criminal offence).

No he wouldn't, we've been stretched because of injuries and Intl tournaments, they're exceptions.

Makes perfect sense to choose a middle of a road team at this stage of his career, plenty of time to move to a bigger team if he fulfills his potential.

He's not signing a new deal with them (similar to boyhood fan Mount) as they have brought in less important players on higher wages and he wants somewhere near parity. It doesn't look likely that will happen so at an impasse with Chelsea seemingly preferring to sell than give him the contract he wants.

Don't want him but if he cared that much about staying he would sign a contract.

I doubt if anyone else would pay him more than circa £60k pw - and with FFP starting to bite even Chelsea, if they did offer a contract extension they certainly couldn't afford to pay him £150k.

And despite Chelsea (and media supporting Chelsea) saying they want £50m, in summer when Gallagher's contract only has 12 months to run they will have to accept more realistic offers - as a yardstick Chelsea sold Reuben Loftus-Cheek (who also was on loan to Crystal Palace) for 15m euros to AC Milan about 18 months ago and I suspect that is about as low as they will go. And they will be paying Loftus-Cheek closer to £60k pw than £150k pw.

Isn’t it?

Tell me your interpretation then.
UEFA's judgement was that City was guilty, both of the charges and of obstructing the investigation.

City appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled that most of the allegations were time-barred, so they lifted their Champions League ban and reduced the fine.

The same charges were resurrected in England where the League and FA were not limited by time, and here we are

The whole thing just makes no sense.

Aside from the facts you have stated, why would we be pursuing a Chelsea captain so vigorously, especially considering he is a bang average player?

If we were going to go for an expensive homegrown option we should have went for Phillips, who is far closer to what we need in midfield.

This obsession with Gallagher is just perplexing .

Unless there's something we just don't know.
Is he really a Chelsea fan? Not all academy kids support that club.
Has he fallen out with someone but being professional whilst exploring his options?
Is Levy talking to Poch and being friendly?
I'll help you with some money, you help us with a player.
