It says something that supporters on this forum have had to create a "positive comments only" thread and police it. More cotton wool, sir?

I'm not yet Ange-out, but some of the stuff about the squad he has, the points tally etc, misses just how bad we've been over the past couple of months.

Say he wins one of his last four ... if you were Levy, would you go all in and back him with your (our) money in the window?

We have two major problems

You speak for yourself mate. I don't appreciate the defeats.

I think Ange needs time he hasn't even been able to establish his own core of the team.

Hasn't bought in his own CM or Striker
I agree he needs to bring about his own team.
But , he could get some quick wins to help himself by, getting the team to defend better.
Poor tactics and organisation is causing problems for himself and the team.

and that is mt beef, its easy enough to work on defending set pieces better it costs no money its just time and work, tactics to stop other teams players needs coaches who can think so slightly harder to do
But if Ange can't be brother or does;nt know how to dothese basic's why would you keep him

I don't even like Postecoglou, but to me it feels as if the criticism of him is as unwarranted as much as the early praise was excessive. Spurs don't have enough depth, it's the end of a long season, and things have gotten ragged. Probably not all that unexpected. I'm concerned they are worse at the end than they appeared at the beginning, and I think you have to take Postecoglou's comments as meaning not all the players are on board or able to adapt to his strategy. But there will be comings and goings this summer and a lot of that will get worked out. As for the Chelsea match, Spurs looked threatening in the second half and even though many people aren't keen on Werner it did seem he was missed. As much as I cringe when I hear "Big Ange", I think it's a coin toss. He could very well end up turning things around in a big way or maybe this doesn't work out. But that's just normal with any manager. They are all hired to eventually be fired.

He has his principles though that he wants to be extremely aggressive and on the front foot he clearly feels it's not quite there so if he lacks the conviction and goes against his own ideas the moment it gets tough, how will the players believe in it if he doesn't himself.

He's willing to play the long game.

I'd go for the Bournemouth bloke. Like the look of him, and after a shakey start, they have improved. There's no denying it for them.

We have gone backwards.

So if they don't work on tactics or set piece defending at all, what the fuck are they doing in training?
What do they do? Genuine question. I've read that Ange doesn't really believe in conditioning training (or words to that effect), believing the necessary fitness comes from playing games (in training or matches). I don't think that's true tbh and it is a bit alarming that our team look tired or not fit enough given the relatively light load of games.

We look like like a team with a nonsense "philosophy" and no fucking plan or training.

We have a lot of the ball.

Tell me what else describes our football.

Fair comments.

I see that, I said earlier that I understood why he played the same way when we had all the injuries in Oct/Nov But play a style of play and defending set pieces are 2 different elements of the game
So you can play this high line (expecting the CH to run like mad) but when you have to defend a set play you practice defending or attacking the ball,

So we don't work on tactics, set piece defending or fitness and conditioning?

Fucking hell... no wonder we're so fucking shit. They just stand around with their dicks out watching repeats of Neighbours.

I dont think he'll be sacked this summer but no one gets the long game without results. Last 24 games we have the same amount of points as Everton and Wolves, less than Chelsea and would be sitting 10th. If that continues start of next season all the talk of his philosophy and long term project is out the door with him by October or November.

Who would you replace from this lot in order to make Angeball work.

Vicario
Porro
Royal
Romero
Dragusin
VdV
Udogie
Davies
Bissouma
Sarr
Maddison
Deki
Benancur
Son
Richie
Johnson

I've left out a lot of players that rarely get a kick as you can hardly blame them. What I've picked there are players who play more often than not, or are needed as first choice back up.

I genuinely can't see us upgrading anyone but Davies, Royal and maybe Richie.
I actually think the whole back 5 is as good as we're likely to get.
I think Bissouma and Sarr were brilliant at the start of the season, but have got progressively worse. Will changing them solve the problem?
Bentacur is a shadow of the Conte Bentancur.
Maddision started the season like a player of the year contender and now looks hopeless.
Son was scoring. Richie was scoring, now they look like blind and lame.

It's funny how players who were good have dipped. Not 1 or 2, but loads of them. Either they have given up playing for him, or he has made them worse through poor training all season.

I'd lose Son in the summer. Tempted to say Deki also. Buy a powerhouse MF, a CF, and a winger / Eze type player.

I think Postecoglou is more concerned with trying to prevent corners and set peices rather than them itself.
