Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He has mentioned about 1000 times the things that he wants to change at the club to win trophies though.

Mentality being a major part of it. For these players to have the mentality to win trophies they need to approach the biggest games with the mindset and belief in themselves to win. He can't afford to have any other mentality for any game.

It's not that hard to understand is it?
I think he should get a big countdown clock put up in the press room directly behind him that shows how many days since we last won a trophy. Really drive it home just in case we all forget but it's not like it's bantered at us on a regular basis anyway by rival fans and the media.

THIS!
What part of the presser offended people ?

The fact that our trophy cabinet is bare ? The fact that the team will go out and "try" to wn ? The fact that our great Club needs REAL success? FMD. What do people want to hear?

Unlike Conte, he didn't throw the Club under the bus, he defined what real success looks like for our Club. It ain't 4th, or bragging rights. He's fucking right.

I do agree with this though, expecting him to win a trophy in his first season after the way the last season ended is quite naive.
I didn't think he'd win a trophy, tbh I expected us to finish about 7th/8th so season has been a success in my eyes. Not sold on his tactics, don't think they'll work long term in the PL and he'll end up sacked and the rebuild starts again - which is on levy, not Ange.

I just think he's a pretty unlikeable bloke. He's very arrogant for someone who hasn't won anything in a big league (Neil Lennon won the same as him with Celtic) and think it's a bit rich for him digging out Spurs lack of silverware before he has even got to a 1/4 final.

Not judging by this thread they don't
Fair. I accept it's a difficult question to answer by any menager. What pisses me off is we're finding ourselves in this stupid situation because of the 4 games we didn't prepare for at all and just went swinging dick to play happy football. If we've gone to them tactically prepared for the opponent as we should at business end and not treated them as a football identity test pre season friendly we could've nicked a scrappy win in at least one out of 4.
Then we would be talking about Sheffield game already as a must win with less emphasis on Man City that we will likely lose anyway.

He is bantering his own club and fans when it wasn't needed.

Of course he’s right.

I completely agree mate, that's what really stood out to me in the presser as well, he talks like he has won multiple CL/PL trophies and knows the PL inside and out.

I would rather him focus on actually improving us and just getting his head down rather than posturing all the time, I do agree this season has been a success in terms of improvement as I also expected a 7th/8th finish but like you, I can't see him working out long term.

I can ignore his arrogance and personality if he actually improves us and wins things but the problem is, when you have been on a run like we have, that just grates even more.

Instead of question the journalists from asking such provocative questions in EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PRESSERS, fans are slaughtering Ange for his responses which were quite obviously direct snides to these disrespectful media people instead to our club.

The media always win in dividing us. ALWAYS. FFS.
Media literacy is sadly long dead.

People read and hear what they want to. No matter the context.

Oh shut up.

Imagine thinking that Ange was going to come in after the shitshow of the previous season and win things in season one.

Grow up.
Yep, not easy to change a failed culture no matter your pedigree as a coach. Look at Mourinho and Conte two proven winners who came here and were dismayed by what they saw yet apparently Ange can't say we've been failing without somehow being blamed for being part of the failure.....
