How Dry should our Powder be?

Not sure about that. Apart from 1 or 2 games, Werner was pretty good for us. I also don't rate CHO (even if he's been decent for Forest this season), I think that big injury he had all those years ago ruined him.

CHO is better at what we need, he takes players on and makes them commit, would be good for Ange ball because our wingers are always isolated with the full back.

Werner on the other hand isn't the best at doing that, his wing play is average in comparison.

Part 2 of the clear out has begun. If we are able to get rid of most of these players, then that would free up a lot of the wage bill.

It's a madness how much work there is to do for IN and OUT in this squad.

5th, the season after losing Kane wasn't great but it really wasn't terrible considering.

How much can one team of staff actually get done in one summer? 12-13 OUT and 5-6 IN?

We’ll need a bigger squad for the europa though. I’d be surprised if half of those go. The turnover of players we need is just too high. Then you’ve got to get them gelling and learning the system. All in a tournament summer. If we make that many changes we’ll have to be patient again next season. I can’t face another transitional year.

If Hudson-Odoi is the level we are aiming for then just shut down the football team and become a fully fledged entertainment entity and bin off the football

Werner is right there, and he's available for 15M if we want to go down the cheap route. In my opinion this CHO transfer makes 0 sense.
We seriously need to get our act together wrt HG or we'll be left trying to flog a small squad to death playing 2+ games per week (fingers crossed on some cup runs).

And by get our act together I mean filling our squad out with some HG players that will actually play, not just having a 3rd choice keeper that is HG.

It's an issue that we've been talking about for ages now and each passing season it becomes more pressing, last season seemed to be a promising start to the window on that front with Maddison signing, and an apparent move for Raya who counts as HG, but then we swerved Raya and also sold Kane so stood still on the whole.

Bergvall all being well will become CT, KWP would be a wise move as can cover both sides, suits the inverted fullback role, and is also CT. Eze would be ideal as in an improvement to the first team squad and HG status, whilst CHO would aid HG and hopefully be a useful squad filler, but the price would have to be reasonable for it to make sense.

I really hope we significantly strengthen our HG numbers this summer, as opposed to just doing the bare minimum and then having the same issue again next summer. There's plenty of players out there that can both improve the squad and put us in a strong position regarding HG numbers.

Come on there isn't still fans who want Werner to sign for this club, surely?
Think most people would be ok with Werner or CHO if we manage to get in a genuinely good winger and striker.

Werner's been average but atleast you know what you're getting from him: some head-scratching misses but overall, actually decent output and an injection of pace. If wages can be negotiated down, there's not much downside to him provided we get a starting XI caliber winger as well.

CHO's probably a bit more expensive and bit of a gamble given that's it's only these last few months that he's really taken off. He could very well end up better than Werner though. He's hg too.

Gallagher looks like one they go for that adds to HG.

Can’t see KWP happening tbh. I could definitely see them going after Gray as he’d be HG and covers #6 and RB.
